Sweet Love

Hello, sweet friends! I'm sorry I've not been around to visit in the last two days. Unfortunately I'm not feeling well but will be visiting you as soon as I can.  ♥︎

I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a project using Maja Design's gorgeous Vintage Romance. Upon first glimpse of this collection, I knew making a scrapbook layout would be irresistible. ♥︎
My page is comprised of several of Sandy's new trims along with some gorgeous Wycinanka chipboard pieces. I was in my happy place for this projected, surrounded by so much crafty beauty. ♥︎
I think the various Paris chipboard frames are my biggest Wycinanka love. All of the chippies in this project are covered in Picket Fence Crackle Paint, which is really pretty in person. Sweet Violet was again my layout inspiration, as this is part of the surprise I am making her mom. ♥︎ It is a joy to support Violet in her mission to bless children battling cancer. She is a cancer survivor and knows the agony they endure. She is everything beautiful.

I cut the Paris Border in half, placing one on each side of my layout. The Botanical Half Circles are so whimsical! They're a fun addition to flower arrangements, along with my favorite Magnolia Herat Swirls. The layered butterflies are Memory Box Isabella dies.
My corner detailing uses three of LLC's new trims. Shabby Tulle trim rests below criss-crossed Fayette. The sides are bordered with mauve Jamila, which is a perfect match for this collection. The shade is stunning. A Romance Corner chippie details the bottom. The darling Sweet Love is also a Wycinanka chippie, which rests upon Spellbinders Gold Labels Four layers. ♥︎
You can never have too many hearts on a project. ♥︎ Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a sparkly weekend. :o)

  9. Karen, this is so precious. What an utterly stunning layout. Beauty in absolutely every detail. I love the 'lacing' with the pretty Fayette lace. That's an exquisite detail. The mauve Jamila lace is scrummy! I know I'm going to need some of that!! I can't believe how many beautiful pieces of the new Wycinanka chipboard you've used on this layout and they all have their place and sit so beautifully in the layout. The pearl centres in the blooms look gorgeous too. This is a stunning work of art that will be treasured without a doubt by that brave young ladies mama. What a stunning gift. Huge hugs my lovely pal, Wends x

  11. Oh Karen! You just opened up an entirely new world to me! I never thought of using laces and trims on scrapbook pages. I'm hopeful that 2017 will be my year to begin scrapping, and you have REALLY REALLY inspired me with this beauty today. Of course it is pinned so I can remember it (and so thousands of others can see it). Incredible details, and the page simply exudes sweetness all 'round.

I hope you are feeling better by now. It's not good to feel under the weather - everything suffers! love, de

  24. WOW! Your 2nd LO if I can recall it correctly and it already looks like you've been doing these for years! I suppoose it was a bit easier with this one as you had the chipboards to fill the page with, and that you did with grace and elegance! It's a beautiful beautiful keepsake.
