Thankful for You

Hello, sweet friends! I am currently away but will be catching up with you very soon. ♥️

Today I am sharing my first project for Wycinanka! What a joy it was to create. This is for a teen ballet dancer who is battling brain cancer. She continues to dance in her heart every moment and also physically when she is able. The cancer may have taken her eyesight, but not her determination. ♥️
To thank her for inspiring us so richly (and teaching us more than she will ever realize), I gathered some of my favorite Wycinanka and Live & Love Crafts goodies. The gorgeous chipboard frame is from Wycinanka's Elegance collection, within which I nestled pearls and sweet background hearts. The delicate hearts on the frame make my heart dance. ♥️
My ballerina is a Marianne Design die. She is dressed up in lace and papers from Pion's Alma's Sewing Room, which also decorate my entire card. The foliage within my Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are also beautiful chippies. The My Craft Spot (no longer in business) sentiment is cut out with a Spellbinders pennant.
Isn't this Boheme border exquisite? It is glorious and also comes in a slightly smaller mini size. It is softly accented with pearls for extra elegance. I truly adore the texture and beauty that chipboard accents innately create.
The lovely lace along the bottom is one of Sandy's newest trims at Live & Love Crafts and is perfectly dreamy. I wanted various texture for the recipient to explore and see through her hands... I hope she loves it. ♥️

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a sparkly day. :o)

Soar

Hello, sweet friends! Thank you for your faithful support via comments and emails. My family and I appreciate you. :o) I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, where Sandy has given us free reign in terms of theme. As much as I adore Christmas and wintry crafting, I couldn't let another week go by without some butterfly love. ♥︎

My encouragement card features papers from Pion Design's Alma's Sewing Room, a stunning collection that Pion has sadly moved to the retired list. If you love these papers as much as I, be sure to get some while you can.
This is for the mother of a terminally ill child... and is made with every ounce of love within my heart. (And even more.) The impossibly lovely blues and florals in this collection are perfect for a dreamy butterfly creation. Layers of Marie Therese and Aurelie Lace are topped with Sunflower Pearl Trim for sweet elegance. A Flatback Pearl String trims the bottom.
The butterfly is centered with Half Pearls and has Pearl Stamen for antennae. Its dark blue layers are from Glistening Season. The resin Prima Victorian Frame is covered in Picket Fence crackle paint, as this card is representative of soaring above brokenness. Aurelie Lace is tucked beneath the rolled corner, while a Melissa Frances decorative corner accents the opposite.
The Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are sprinkled with Glamour Dust and surrounded by Impression Obsession Heart Stems. My sentiment is from Close to My Heart's Find Your Style, cut out with a Spellbinders Lacey Pennant. Although not evident by this picture, the interior is lined with a tonal floral design.

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful weekend. :o)

Be You

Hello, sweet friends! I'm on the Live & Love Crafts blog today with a bit of crafty inspiration. Sandy gave us free reign in terms of theme this week, so I instantly grabbed my favorite purple goodies. :o)

My encouragement card showcases papers from Pion Design's Alma's Sewing Room. ♥︎
I'm thankful this uniquely beautiful collection is still in production. The card base and dress were made with the 6x6 Purple Wallpaper sheet, while the circular element is from Purple Room. I've had one of them for a year... it can be so hard to cut into pretty designs. My card base is a Go Kreate Large Frame Frilly #10 die, which is topped with a Joy! Crafts Lacey Square Frame.
Sandy's Pearl String encircles my focal point. Maya Road Pleat Tulle Trim provides an extra layer of texture beneath it, as well as along the bottom of the dress for wispy elegance. The dress form is a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. The Pion butterflies are fussy cut from the same collection. A Lace Heart Appliqué adds extra sweetness, which is topped with a Shabby Seam Binding double bow and a sparkling rose. Isabelle lace is nestled beneath.
The Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are dusted with Glamour Dust for the utmost sparkle. Beaded Pomegranate Apples in Vanilla Cupcake accent the arrangement, along with a Vintage Crown Pearl Pin and a darling Spool charm. Magnolia Heart Swirls flourish throughout.
My rolled-up Whimsical Designs sentiment (no longer produced) is stamped upon the 12x12 version of the Purple Wallpaper design. A peek inside shows the beautiful scissors pattern. This is such a lovely collection.

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a blessed weekend. :o)
