Friendship Gift Box!

Hello, crafty friends! I'm posting on the My Craft Spot blog today, sharing this pretty little friendship gift box! :o)

Like many of you, I am ecstatic that Kimberly is delving into SVGs! The Present Box cut file is fantastic and the options with it are endless. Ever since I made a Christmas one, I've been antsy to create a non-holiday version. One reason I love this file is that it can be used for any occasion... or just because. :o)

The purpose of this one is to celebrate friendship! I am blessed with an especially lovely friend and I used some of my favorite My Craft Spot products to design her a box of happiness. The slightly dark pictures better portrayed the paper colors, so I kept them as is.
She treasures nature, so frolicking around the box are butterflies from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set. I colored them with Copics in blues and purples, fussy-cut them out, and sprinkled the wings with Glamour Dust.
The sweet sentiment is from Stamping All Around Spring, which I cut out with the coordinating Tiny Doilies metal dies and layered with one of the gorgeous Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. The shapes in that set are so beautiful and I always enjoy an opportunity to use one. To hang it, I glued it to the bow portion of the Memory Box Precious Snowflakes set.
The big poofy bow that comes with this cut file is spectacular and I love adding a little surprise to its center. Since the theme of my project is ever-blossoming friendship, I tucked in a rose and placed the tiniest butterfly atop it. She's my special messenger to wish my friend joy every day. :o) (I truly am this sappy.)

The pretty papers are part of an early Christmas gift from my sweetheart. :o) They are from Maja Designs' Vintage Autumn Basics collection and are inked with Walnut Stain distress ink. The sweet roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Have a blessed day! :o)

Bird Cage Easel Card

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! I hope you're having a blessed week. I'm posting on the My Craft Spot blog today! :o)

Inspired by Kimberly's beautiful Music stamp set, I rekindled my love for easel cards. :o) This is part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project collection, where we are spreading love to elderly residents at an assisted care facility.
The bird cage easel card is a Lori Whitlock cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. I've had this file for quite some time, waiting for a special occasion. I thought it would make a lovely pairing with a musical sentiment. :o)
Included in the Music set are sweet little music notes, which I sporadically stamped around the sentiment with varying amounts of ink. I wanted a mix of bold and faded to coordinate with the Glitz Design papers.
Fluttering throughout the card are the gorgeous butterflies from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set. They (and the birdies) are coated with Wink of Stella glitter for an elegant shimmer. Nestled beneath my Wild Orchid Crafts roses are Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourishes and a sweet touch of Vanilla Bean crinkle ribbon.
I hope it brings joy to the recipient's heart. :o)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 3!

Hello, my dear friends! Welcome to Day 3 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party! :o)

Today we are featuring the new Music stamp set! This set is beautifully inspiring and I'm anxious to use it again soon! :o) (All of the goodies will be available to order on Saturday!)
With so many lovely sentiments and extras, this set is so versatile. These heartwarming words are for an encouragement card for this month's I Feel the Love Project. All I could think of was using this sentiment as soon as possible to lift up a family who has fallen on hard times.
So enamored with the sentiment, I wanted to essentially repeat it within my design. My cross is from the Silhouette Online Store, which is popped up with foam tape for dimension. The golden shadow represents heavenly light... the same glorious glow used for the 3D heart I made. Each heart is stamped with goodies from the new Music set, as I wanted the notes to be floating outward.

My flourishes are from the My Favorite Things Fancy Flourish die, which are accented with pearls. The butterfly is from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, which I've sponged with Scattered Straw distress ink and layered. It's a sweet messenger for the family, soon to be on its way to deliver heavenly hope and light.

The papers are from three collections, which all worked together so wonderfully: My Mind's Eye Blush, MME Mabel, and SEI Promise. I created my card base with a Lori Whitlock background shape. I truly love this entire stamp release, as each set inspires me in so many different ways! :o)

Be sure to flutter on over to My Craft Spot to see the gorgeous work from my teamies! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Jute String! (Five colors of the winner's choice!)

Stenciled Encouragement Tag Set

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you've had a beautiful week! I'm posting this stenciled encouragement tag set on the My Craft Spot blog today and am sharing it here, too! :o)

Stenciling tags is a nice way to dabble into the world of stenciling/inking fun, which was one of my goals with this project. The first two were created a few weeks ago, which you've already seen (HERE and HERE)... but I wanted to show them as a set! :o) I'm so excited to now have this gift complete, as I saved the third one to make during this Inking Technique week at My Craft Spot!

This set is part of my contribution to this month's I Feel the Love Project, where we are creating for a precious baby undergoing chemotherapy and her parents. This is for Violet's parents as a reminder that they are dearly loved and not fighting alone.
New today is the jewel-toned sunset version, brought to life by several of Kimberly's fantastic goodies. :o)
Each tag features one of the sweet butterflies from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, with its flourishing trail coming from Tiny Tags 2. (I love the gorgeous mini flourishes on that stamp set!) The background was created with a Honey Comb Memory Box stencil and three shades of distress ink: Dusty Concord, Victorian Velvet, and Dried Marigold. The tag base is a Marianne Design die.
This variation showcases one of Kimberly's newest metal dies, the stunning Flowers- Rolled Roses. I let them fall open in slightly different measurements for an assortment. The greenery was made with a Memory Box Small Olive Branch metal die. My sentiment is from Kimberly's Simply Sentiments stamp set, as is the warm-toned sunset tag. The middle tag's sentiment is from Tiny Tags 2. I used My Craft Spot crinkle ribbon for each, in the lovely shades of Snow White, Aqua Mist, and Deep Purple.

The papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Peach Blossom collection. The butterflies and flowers on each tag are covered with sheer shimmer from a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush marker, which is tough to capture on camera... but so pretty in person. :o)
I hope Violet's parents continue to grow in faith and trust in Him during this unexpected trial... He is far greater than every disease and will deliver this sweet baby. :o)
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a blessed and sparkly day! :o)

Berry Sweet Mason Jar Tag!

Happy Friday, crafty friends! I hope you've had a lovely week! :o) I'm posting at My Craft Spot today and am sharing my project here, as well!

I'm planning to make a sweet little set of mason jar-shaped tags for a gift and this is my first one. The mason jar is from the Jar Basics stamp set, which I heat-embossed a deep shade of blue and cut out with the coordinating Jar Basics metal die set.
I chose gorgeous papers from a Susan Winget K and Company collection for my fruit-filled jar. This glossy-fruit design is one of the main reasons I bought the pad! (Don't ask me why I didn't stamp the lid... I cannot believe I missed that part! So upset about that.)
The sentiment is one of my favorites from Kimberly's Tasty Treats stamp set, which is heat-embossed to match the jar. I was delighted to discover it fits nicely within the Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies! I accented it with pearls to match my pearl-centered Denim crinkle ribbon. The lacy trim beneath the lid is from Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the scalloped pearl.

Precious butterflies...
You know my love of butterflies! I love them as much as I love sparkles. :o) I colored two butterflies from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set with my Copic markers, fussy-cut them out, and covered them in Star Dust.

I love the fun dimension you can give these butterfly stamps of Kimberly's!
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a blessed and sunshiny weekend! :o)

Anything Goes at 7 Kids College Fund!

Happy Wednesday, my dear friends! I hope you're having a happy week! :o)

A new Anything Goes challenge begins today at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! I hope you'll join in the fun, as your creativity inspires us! Be sure to use products (primarily the image) available at 7 Kids to be eligible to win a gift certificate to the store! :o)

Although the theme is Anything Goes for participants, the DT added a twist to our contributions: Flowers! I took the opportunity to make a tag featuring a few beautiful Memory Box goodies.
I am making a set of coordinating nature-themed encouragement tags, the first of which I posted a few weeks ago. I began by using the Memory Box Honey Comb stencil over a patterned paper from the Wild Rose Studio Peach Blossom collection. Previously I made a warm sunset background of oranges through the stencil. For this version, I used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass to mimic the sky, Scattered Straw for a touch of sunshine, and created a grassy base. I didn't have a proper green for the bottom, so I combined the blue and yellow to make a light shade.
In my first tag, my scene was creating with a nature stamp. This time, I created a floral scene with three sets of Memory Box dies! I used the Small Olive Branch for my greenery and Adorable Posies and Fairy Flower Drops for my flowers. You may be surprised at the lack of rhinestones in the center of those three opened flowers... don't worry, I'm not sick! ;) I ran out of my stash of tiny sparkles... which is just so sad. They will be added before this gets mailed out, that's for sure. ;)

Although difficult to capture with a camera, the flowers are covered in gorgeous sheer sparkle from a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush marker. The top of my tag is Sky Blue crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot, centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts sweetheart blossom. My sweet sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2 stamp set and the butterfly is from the Jar Full of Flowers set.
Be sure to check out the marvelous creations of my teamies! Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautifully blessed day! :o)

Shake It On at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, my sweet friends! I hope everyone had a beautifully blessed Easter! :o)

Today starts a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week we have an especially fun one for you: Shake It On! There are tons of options and I ended up shaking three different elements onto my card: Embossing powder, flower soft, and glamour dust!

This card is another contribution to this month's I Feel the Love Project. We are crafting for children that are abused, neglected, or at-risk, as well as the loving staff who cares for them at Tennyson Center for Children.

For this card, inspiration runs deep. This tiny dancer is gazing upward to her blossoming future... unfurling in the most beautiful way.
The precious dancer is Lil Ballerina, a digital stamp by Mo Manning. After coloring her with Copics, I used a tiny flourish from MCS' Tiny Tags 2 set to stamp her a frame. Not just a regular frame, of course... but ribbons of love. Her sweet little bun is sprinkled with flower soft and her tutu is covered in Glamour Dust, making it super sparkly in person.
My dream dance studio is lined with ornately designed arched windows, which was the inspiration for the sentiment base. I tucked in half of a doily from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die set, making it a pretty arch adorned with pearls. My sentiment is from the Ornate Labels- Christmas stamp set. I need this brave and beautiful recipient to believe in the beauty that lies ahead of her.

A tiny butterfly (cut from golden musical score paper) rests atop the rolled corner... a little encourager helping to direct the dancer's path. The flower arrangement is made of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I didn't have the proper shade of aqua, so I used a Copic marker to color the edges of a few white ones to match the image. A heart stick pin is nestled inside, anchored in love. The Copic-colored butterfly near the bottom is from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, sparklified and layered atop a whimsical pearly flourish.

My six-loop bow was made with Sky Blue crinkle ribbon. I had never made a six looper before but love how it resembled the tutu. :o) It rests atop gorgeous wide lace from The Ribbon Girl, lined with a flat-back pearl strand.
The butterfly border fluttering atop the card is from Joy Crafts, which I really wish showed up better here. I colored the centers with Copics and sprinkled them with Glamour Dust. The WOC silver metal filigree corner was heat-embossed white.

The papers are from Kaisercraft's Enchanted Garden. I love the soft colors and dreamy designs.
I do not know who will receive this card, but I do know that they will receive an abundance of my and God's love. Initially, the driving inspiration was a child or teen who needs to be immersed in healing love and light. One who needs to believe again... or maybe believe for the first time. But during one of the many moments I struggled while making this, I realized it could be destined for a staff member. A caregiver battling to deal with the horrid reality of innocent children being abused. Sometimes it is the adult who needs a reminder to believe in the future of the (temporarily) shattered child that has come into her life.

Be sure to check out the creations from my amazing DT sisters at My Craft Spot! I hope you'll play along with us this week... I look forward to seeing your inspiring creations! Have a beautiful day of love and sunshine. :o)

A Bit of Stenciling and Stamping Fun!

Happy Wednesday, my dear friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week! I have a little project to share today featuring some lovely goodies from 7 Kids College Fund. :o)

I recently have become interested in stencils and previously shared how excited I was that Memory Box came out with them this year! I have much bigger visions for this crafty technique, but today I have a simple encouragement tag to coordinate with a non-stenciled card I will soon be making. Another dabble! :o)
I love honey comb patterns, so this Memory Box Honey Comb Stencil was a must-have for me! I began by cutting out my tag with a delightful design from the NEW Wild Rose Studio Peach Blossom Paper Pad. (There are lovely patterns in that collection!) I chose a soft peach to coordinate with the warm summery tones I knew I'd be using.

After using washi tape to secure the stencil over the tag, I blended in warm shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, and Spiced Marmalade. The primary portion of my nature scene is from my favorite nature silhouette stamp: Crafty Individuals Wild Flowers and Butterflies.

The remaining stamping is with My Craft Spot products. The encouraging sentiment is from the beautiful Simply Sentiments stamp set. The butterfly fluttering beside it is from Jar Full of Flowers, while her sprightly flourish is from Tiny Tags 2. I finished it off with Snow White crinkle ribbon, a Wild Orchid Crafts sweetheart blossom, and three tiny sparkles.

An angled view to show the beautiful clear shimmer I added to the stamping, courtesy of the amazing Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush:

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and My Craft Spot Co-Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday, my dear friends! Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and My Craft Spot Spring Blog Hop! Members from the PPPR Design Team and MCS Design Team have come together to share some springiness with you, featuring Lisa's cut files and Kimberly's stamps! Not only does Springy and Eastery inspiration abound, but there are also fabulous prizes. :o)

If you arrived here from the marvelous Brianna, you are in the right place! If you just stumbled upon my blog and would like to start from the beginning, please hop on over to sweet Lisa's blog!

For my project today, I made a center step card for a loved one to welcome Spring. :o)
The center step card is a PPPR cut file, which made it so easy to put together the base. :o) To create my warm weather scene, I used a few elements from PPPR's fantastic Spring Garden collection. The daffodils, tulips, and hummingbird are all from that set. I truly love every single cut file. :o) The flowers are layered and nestled beneath grass, which I've embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder.

This entire design began with the hummingbird! I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. All of the patterned papers throughout my card are from Heartfelt Creations' Sun Kissed collection. I made the hummingbird with several of the blue designs for a pop of blue to match the center of the flowers.
All of the pretty butterflies are from My Craft Spot's Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, which I've colored with Copics, fussy-cut, and covered in Star Dust. I made a warm springtime breeze along the top of the card (via a My Favorite Things Fancy Flourish), upon which two butterflies are fluttering along.

The Springy sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Stamping All Around Spring stamp set, which I've cut out with the coordinating Tiny Doilies metal dies. It is layered upon one of the new (and gorgeous) Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. My sun was made with two dies from MCS' Lacy Banners set.

Anything Goes at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, my dear friends! I hope everyone had a blessed weekend. :o)

A new challenge begins today at My Craft Spot! It's the popular Anything Goes, so link up whatever your crafty heart desires! :o)

For my project, I made a quick card for sweet 6-year-old Maddy, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project. She is battling leukemia and we are crafting in her honor this month to deliver her an abundance of love and happiness. :o)

Intended as a birthday card by the cut file designer, I opted instead to make it an everyday card to encourage Maddy (and her parents) to celebrate each new day.
The base is a Daniela Angelova cupcake birthday card cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. The flowery detailing on the frosting was cut with a DCWV swirly patterned paper, while everything else is from Wild Rose Studio's Butterfly Glade. Each flower is centered with a rhinestone to put an extra twinkle in Maddy's heart.
Knowing this card would be simplistic, I chose my favorite of the butterfly papers from the collection for the wrapper. It is inked with Dusty Concord distress ink. Because I'm 100% addicted, I sporadically added sweet flutterbys from My Craft Spot's Jar Full of Flowers stamp set. (I know, I know! I need an intervention.) I colored them with Copics, fussy-cut them out, and coated them in Star Dust before layering them.

The sweet sentiment is from Kimberly's Tiny Tags 3 stamp set, cut out with the coordinating Tiny Tag Metal DiesSnow White crinkle ribbon is wrapped around the base, layered with a bow of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine. The candle flame is covered in gold Stickles for a sparkly glow.

A coordinating butterfly paper lines the interior, waiting to hug sweet Maddy when she opens it. :o)
See how she sparkles during her recent hospital stays... she is truly an inspiration.
Be sure to flutter on over to check out the marvelous projects from my teamies at My Craft Spot! I hope you'll join in the fun this week... I love visiting you! :o) Have a beautiful day!

A Touch of Spring!

Happy Thursday, crafty friends! I hope you're smiling brightly on this first day of Spring. :o) (I'm pretending the piles of snow are really piles of pristine white flower petals.)

I'm posting a project today on My Craft Spot's blog using some of Kimberly's newest goodies! I thought it would be fun to use the Jar Full of Flowers and Simply Sentiments stamp sets to decorate a paper vase. :o)
The 3d vase and Double Impatiens flower are Jamie Cripps cut files from the Silhouette Online Store. For each vase panel, I fussy cut one of the gorgeous flowers from Kimberly's stamp set and centered it with a scalloped pearl. The flowers were stamped upon coordinating paper from the same Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed collection for cohesion. These papers are stunning! The colors and designs are so beautiful. Tiny trails of pearls in graduating sizes "connect" them to form a pretty little design around the vase.
Nestled beneath Buttercup crinkle ribbon is one of the lovely sentiments from the Simply Sentiments set, which is cut out with the coordinating Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. It's a beautiful message to remind someone daily that they are being thought of (and loved). :o)
I used tonal patterned paper for the sunshiny flower for added interest, with sweet tiny flowers and scrolling leaves on each petal. The edges are inked in Scattered Straw for a touch of warmth. The leaves are embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder for texture.
Butterflies flutter along the side panels, courtesy of the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set. They have been layered, Star Dusted, and given a pearly trail of happiness to match the bottom design.
Thank you for visiting! Have a sparkly and blessed day. :o)
