Birthday Wishes

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend! I'm posting today on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog, sharing a wee bit of birthday inspiration for a dear friend's special day. ♥︎

Speaking of birthdays, I was blessed with some amazing crazy gifts on Friday for mine and I couldn't wait to put some to use!
My focal point is made up of dreamy Sue Wilson dies (Maddie and Lauren), which were part of a gift! I love them so much. My friend loves elegance and sweetness, so I paired beautifully ruffly white blossoms with darling Rose Pink roses. Isn't that a gorgeous shade of pink? ♥︎ It is perfect for my Maja Design papers. The heart paper is from Vintage Baby, while the rest are from Vintage Summer Basics.
I continue to be enamored with the relatively new White Lotus flowers... the abundance of sunshiny yellow nestled in the centers is irresistible. ♥︎ I have nestled it alongside a Chrysanthemum, which has long been one of my all-time favorite WOC blooms.
For the center detailing, adorable miniature sweetheart blossoms accompany Rose Pink roses, to which I added a tiny trail of pearls. I hope she loves it.

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful day! ♥︎

Me and You

Hello, dear friends! I'm here with a quick post after a busy week and will catch up with you this weekend. I am on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a lovey-dovey celebration of a sweet marriage. My card features gorgeous papers from Maja's Vintage Summer Basics and Vintage Romance.

This card is part of a box of love for a family enduring heartache. I have previously mentioned how I like to celebrate the unbreakable love of parents that inspiringly grow in love as their child battles terminal disease. So I tuck in a card for them to share, while the rest of the box is for the superhero kiddo.  ♥︎
With Sandy's extensive selection of Wycinanka chippies, there is always a perfect piece to either create a theme or accent it. I have combined two darling chippies for my focal point: Doves 2 frame and Summer Wedding border. ♥︎ The pretty Cappuccino crinkle ribbon is from my dear friend Diana of DL.Art and the foliage is Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes.
The frame is covered in crackle paint, while the fluttery border sparkles in Shabby Pink Frantage. On the left I layered both beautiful shades of Amabelle lace, as I couldn't resist a pop of sweet pink. The sentiment (from Vintage Romance) is trimmed with Fayette lace for softness.
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a lovely weekend. ♥︎

Believe

Hello, dear friends! I hope your week has been lovely. I'm sharing this sweet little card on the Live & Love Crafts blog today.

Crafty time was scarce this week, but I was able to have a little play with Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics. Although there wasn't sufficient time for treasured detailing, it is ever-blossoming with love.  I paired two of my favorite sheets from the collection and topped them with nature's beauty. ♥︎
This is for the mother of a 5-year-old cancer warrior. Upon finding myself discouraged that I couldn't do all I was inspired to create, I was quickly reminded of what's most important. Is this ultra floofy and overflowing in treasures? No... but the heartbroken mother will feel my heart that is poured into it. ♥︎
My colorful Wild Orchid Crafts bouquet is nestled upon a doily for softness, blossoming forth from the sparkliest of love. Sunflower Pearl Trim lines the bottom, puffy wisps of pure white clouds shielding her from the storms of grief. The Pure Love ribbon is from DL.Art. The Graciellie Design sentiment is from the Dream digital stamp set, whispering words of hope into her heart. ♥︎
The smidgen of gold detailing on top holds much meaning. She will instantly recognize it. Fluttering along the top is a Prima mulberry butterfly, which I've lightly edged with gold microbeads. A Melissa Frances Resin Appliqué adorns the opposite corner, where microbeads are nestled within its intricacy.

Gold is the awareness color for childhood cancer and it means everything to all of these families with whom I am involved... and everyone living this nightmare. This mother's little boy received devastating scan results this week, just when we hoped a corner had been turned. We are clinging to faith for miracles. These microbeads are golden for her sweet boy and are tiny sunbeams dispelling heavenly radiance into the intricate parts of her shattered heart.
The interior is decorated with a sheet from Vintage Spring Basics, which carries fluttering blossoms inside. My card base was made with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and my sentiment was cut out with Spellbinders Nested Lacy Pennants. I pray she likes it.

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful weekend. ♥︎
