Sweet Love (and a new mission)

Happy New Year, sweet friends! I hope your 2017 is filled with good health and dreams come true.♥️It's time for new challenges at 7 Kids College Fund (Anything Goes with the option of Valentine) and Deep Ocean (Anything New)! There are generous prizes to be won at both, so I hope you'll play along with us! Naturally I've used a plethora of Wycinanka chippies for the occasion.

My project is another tip-toe into shabby scrapbooking! I love this crafty outlet and I am eager to grow in it. The purpose of this scrapbook page kicks off something new I am doing this year, which I will explain just below.
This project begins an expansion of my mission to spread love to those in dire need. Scrapbooking is innately beautiful in the fact that it preserves sweet memories created throughout life. For most of my terminally ill little friends I adore and support, their lives are far too short... leaving their heartbroken parents clinging to the precious few months or years of memories made. I am designing scrapbooks this year for parents of children battling diseases for which there is no cure. It is hard on my heart, as I love them so deeply... but with each carefully chosen detail, I say another prayer for the miracles that are desperately needed.

This is my first page of Ella (photos taken by Crush Photography), the sweetest ray of sunshine that I fell in love with many moons ago.♥️She is 4 years old and battles every day. We nearly lost her last year, but God granted grace. He has a purpose for her and we will forever believe for her miracle. Her mom has the gentlest, most loving heart and I am blessed to know her.
I used a heap of new goodies to celebrate the sweetness that is Ella! The gorgeous papers are from Pion Design's Where the Roses Grow, which I scooped up the moment they arrived at 7 Kids. They are dreamy and perfect for such a princess. All of the flowers are from my beloved Wild Orchid Crafts (coming soon to 7 Kids!), of which I cannot get enough. Ella is filled with so much love that even the leaves are turning pink.

Lace Flower Netting provides soft detailing along the bottom. My central focal point is comprised of three beautiful Wycinanka chippies: The large Elegance frame is one of my favorites, which I have filled in with iridescent beads for a touch of whimsy. The smaller heart frame is one of Wycinanka's newest offerings, which is embossed with Shabby Pink Frantage.
The last part of the central trio is the stunning lace heart... it truly makes my heart flutter as it delicately flourishes in natural beauty. Amidst the Butterfly Tassel trim (currently sold out) on top, the page opens up in floral delight, encouraging Ella and her mom to believe in the miracles blossoming from within.
The hot air balloon is another Wycinanka new release (coming soon to 7 Kids!). I was so excited to see it in my Wycinanka DT box that I altered my nearly-complete layout to include it! I layered it with the gentle lilac butterfly paper, which I think Ella's giant heart will delight in.♥️
To encourage my sweet friends, I chose 'follow your dreams' as my theme. The darling bunny is covered with crackle paste. I couldn't resist adding this cutie pie because Ella loves animals so much. The chippie border peeking from behind the center panel is from Wycinanka's Sweet Dreams set. The precious butterfly is a die from Joy! Crafts Vintage Flourishes collection.

Flutter on over to check out the gorgeous projects from my teamies at 7 Kids and Deep Ocean! Then link up and inspire us with your heartfelt creations. Thank you for visiting and I wish you a sparkly day.♥️

Sweet Love

Hello, sweet friends! I'm sorry I've not been around to visit in the last two days. Unfortunately I'm not feeling well but will be visiting you as soon as I can.  ♥︎

I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a project using Maja Design's gorgeous Vintage Romance. Upon first glimpse of this collection, I knew making a scrapbook layout would be irresistible. ♥︎
My page is comprised of several of Sandy's new trims along with some gorgeous Wycinanka chipboard pieces. I was in my happy place for this projected, surrounded by so much crafty beauty. ♥︎
I think the various Paris chipboard frames are my biggest Wycinanka love. All of the chippies in this project are covered in Picket Fence Crackle Paint, which is really pretty in person. Sweet Violet was again my layout inspiration, as this is part of the surprise I am making her mom. ♥︎ It is a joy to support Violet in her mission to bless children battling cancer. She is a cancer survivor and knows the agony they endure. She is everything beautiful.

I cut the Paris Border in half, placing one on each side of my layout. The Botanical Half Circles are so whimsical! They're a fun addition to flower arrangements, along with my favorite Magnolia Herat Swirls. The layered butterflies are Memory Box Isabella dies.
My corner detailing uses three of LLC's new trims. Shabby Tulle trim rests below criss-crossed Fayette. The sides are bordered with mauve Jamila, which is a perfect match for this collection. The shade is stunning. A Romance Corner chippie details the bottom. The darling Sweet Love is also a Wycinanka chippie, which rests upon Spellbinders Gold Labels Four layers. ♥︎
You can never have too many hearts on a project. ♥︎ Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a sparkly weekend. :o)

A Leap of Faith

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting a giant leap of faith on the Live & Love Crafts blog today. Sandy challenged us to take a leap this week and I went all in. ♥︎

I have long admired beautifully shabby scrapbook layouts... the ones bursting with so much texture that 'closing' the album simply means tying pretty ribbons to keep it from falling open. :o) This is my (very humble) attempt at such a layout using Pion's gorgeous Easter Greetings collection.
This was the hardest thing I've ever made! I don't know how scrapbookers do it... but I had a lovely time dabbling into that beautiful world. The sheer volume of space was intimidating and I would need another week to fill it up more. ;)
With so many pastels in this collection, any and all embellishments/flowers seem to work. I chose to stay with white, which paired nicely with precious Violet's crown. :o) Isn't she darling? She is inspires me daily from afar with her heart of gold and unwavering faith. This layout will be part of a gift for her mother. (The pretty photo is courtesy of Britny Sirotak Photography.) Violet is a courageous cancer survivor and is driven to bless the lives of children who endure all that she went through. She is all things beautiful and magical. ♥︎ Her photo is nestled within Cheery Lynn's Sophia's Heart die.
Love is ever-blossoming, bursting forth through all tribulation. A Pion butterfly leads a pretty trail of mini hearts, one of the sweetest trims imaginable. A metal rose serves as the 'pull' for a journaling tag, which is covered in Shabby White Frantage.
The lovely sentiment is from Graciellie Design's Dream stamp set, one of Gracie's new releases this week. It is cut with a Spellbinders Labels Four and layered atop a Gold Labels Four die. Resin Prima Swirls also are sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage...
... and of course frolicking with pearls. ♥︎ Atop each doilie on the layout is a die from Sue Wilson's Italian Collection Decorative Frames. I wanted soft accents with whimsical butterflies hovering about. Love is a La-La Land Crafts die.♥︎

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a wonderful weekend!
