Just for You

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I hope you're having a blessed day. I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog, sharing a wintry creation. One of my favorite aspects of Pion Design papers is that they are timeless. I went back to Pion's older Days of Winter collection, as this beautiful image was calling me.♥︎
The vintage image is from Lilly and Siri, as are the solid pink and purple striped papers. The lovely snowflake paper is from the Silent Night collection, which unfortunately has been discontinued. Sandy still has a few left if you'd like to scoop it up. Ruffly, pearly, and sparkly trims abound.
I made a sweet pair of skates to hang from pearl string and nestled the My Craft Spot sentiment within a Melissa Frances resin frame.  The skates are a cut file from Forever Memories for You, of which I intend to make a large version eventually. The flowers are sprinkled with Glamour Dust, as is the frame. A few more of Sandy's pearl goodies are incorporated throughout, which you'll find listed below. :o)

This will soon be off to another heartbroken mother to remind her that she is dearly loved and never alone. It is merely a card, but I pray it delivers light to her darkened heart.  ♥︎

Dies used: Joy! Crafts Frame & 3 Corners, along with matching Border; Tattered Lace Beloved Borders atop vintage image; Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflakes.

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful weekend. ♥︎

Fairies & Angels at Deep Ocean Challenge!

Happy Tuesday, my treasured friends! I hope you're having a lovely week. :o)

It's time for a fun new challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge and this time it's all about Fairies and Angels. I opted for a Christmas card with my favorite angel paper. :o) I was very short on time and my lingering arm issue has been painful, but I'm grateful I was able to make a little something yesterday. ♥︎
My background papers are from Pion Design's Silent Night collection, which I combined with some of my favorite trims and pearls from Live & Love Crafts. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Christmas Chalkboard (no longer produced) and the pretty snowflake is a Magnolia die.
The pretty poinsettia is a Cheery Lynn Designs die, which has been sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage and centered with Frosted Berries. My fancy 'snow drift' was made with the Marianne Design Fancy Edge die, which is covered in Glamour Dust (crystal and gold). The Memory Box Frosted Spruce Tree is accented with Polar White Flower Soft. My base was made with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, using Pion's Palette Grey 1.

Be sure to check out the inspiration from my sweet and talented teamies. ♥︎ Thank you for fluttering on by! Have a beautiful day. :o)

Sentiment-Focused at My Craft Spot!

Happy December, my sweet friends! I hope you had a sparkly weekend. :o)

Today begins a fun new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week we want to see creations featuring a sentiment as the focal point. With so many gorgeous stamp sets available, the hardest part is choosing one to design around. :o)

I still have several Christmas blessings to make for charity and my loved ones, so I used this challenge to showcase one of my favorite sentiments from Kimberly's newest release. :o)
Doesn't this greeting fill the heart with joy? It is from the O Holy Night stamp set, which I adore! It so beautifully celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. ♥
I framed the heavenly words with snowflake flourishes from Kimberly's Ornate Labels- Christmas stamp set. The lovely papers are from Pion Design's Silent Night collection, which I've been saving for this perfect sentiment. The heartwarming scene is surrounded in nature's beauty, courtesy of stunning flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Pretty crinkle ribbon in Light Denim lies atop a layer of wide lace from The Ribbon Girl. The bow is centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts scalloped pearl and I tucked several Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes (right and left) into my flowers.
A little closer in on the bottom blue paper to better show the pretty snowflakes, which are centered with tiny pearls. The heart pearl and metal filigree corner are also from WOC, while my card base was created with Cheery Lynn's Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames. The central focal point is cut out with a Spellbinders Standard Circle (small) and layered upon a Picot Edge Circle.
Thank you for fluttering on by today! I wish you a day of love and joy. :o)

3D Christmas at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. :o) Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot! We're turning festive with a theme of 3D Christmas! I'm excited to see what you talented peeps link up!

For my project, I made my first ever Christmas Tussie Mussie. (They're also known as Christmas cone ornaments... but it's more fun saying tussie mussie.)
Whenever my mom sees these cones in Victorian or holiday magazines, she turns all dreamy. Since she doesn't own any, I made her one for her Christmas tree. :o) You can fill them with treats or whatever your heart desires. For heartfelt wintry wishes, I combined two Pion Design paper collections: My Precious Daughter (tiny pink hearts for the sentiments) and Silent Night (for the snowflake cone).
Since we're nature lovers, I filled it with nature's beauty. Peace & Joy is from My Craft Spot's O Holy Night stamp set, which I stamped upon the sweet heart paper and cut out with the Lacy Banners metal dies. This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets from Kimberly! I love it to bits. I inserted a Wild Orchid Crafts crown pearl pin through the lacy banner and nestled it in the arrangement.

My cone is bursting with white and Pink Mist Wild Orchid Crafts roses, along with pine branches and tiny pine cones. For the berries I used pale pink mini poms. Polar White Flower Soft is sprinkled throughout as snow.
My second sentiment is also from O Holy Night, which I cut out with the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I love the elegant fonts in this set! I set it atop a heart from Cheery Lynn Designs' Two of Hearts set. The crinkle ribbon for the hanger and bottom detailing is also from My Craft Spot, which I used in shades of Petal Pink and Snow White. The bow is centered with a WOC scalloped pearl.

I used a 3D cone cut file from the Silhouette Online Store for my base, but removed the hearts along the top so I'd have room for my ruffly sheer ribbon. :o) I trimmed it with more roses for a pretty border. Spiraling down the cone is tiny pom trim from JoAnn's, which I paired with a flat-back pearl strand from The Ribbon Girl. A few snowflakes from Cheery Lynn were added at the last minute for extra dimension.
I hope my mom gets as much joy from it as I had creating it. I made it with all of the sparkly Christmas love my heart holds. :o)

Be sure to visit My Craft Spot to see sweet creations from some of my teamies! I hope you can play along with us this week. :o) Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a day of love and blessings. :o)
