Christmas Cheer

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. :) I'm popping in today with a project for Wycinanka. Not only did I play with Christmas chippies (again!), but also one of their sweet kraft boxes. ♥️ This was created to deliver Christmas joy to a heartbroken mother.
This darling box is just under 4-inches square and comes with a card blank to perfectly nestle within. One of my favorite Maja Christmas paper collections is A Gift for You, so I pulled out what little I have left to decorate. How I treasure the rich traditional colors.
The box lid showcases the precious Let it Snow chipboard birdhouse, which you already know how much I adore! ♥️ It is tucked within a gorgeous Wycinanka Wreath, ruffling bows, and velvet jingly bells. The little card is also adorned with a few chippies. Very Merry Baubles hang from festive twine, while a gorgeous Christmas Nostalgy Frame holds my Christmas greeting (from My Craft Spot-no longer in business).
The chippies throughout my project are covered in Crackle Paint. I colored the paint for the wreath with Sea Grass Green (Magicals powder) from Lindy's Stamp Gang. Snow Writer accents my elements, which was sprinkled with Glamour Dust for Christmas sparkle. ♥️
This was a fun project and I'm excited to decorate another. I'm certainly in my happy place playing with Wycinanka goodies and pretty embellishments... especially when its purpose is to deliver joy to a heart in need. :) Most of the embellishments are from Live & Love Crafts. ♥️

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a sparkly day! :)

Something New at Live & Love Crafts!

Happy New Year, sweet and sparkly friends! I hope you've had a beautiful holiday season. I will be visiting you this weekend now that my dad is on the mend from surgery last week. (Heart procedures aren't very festive, are they?!) Thank you for sticking with me during an exceptionally busy December. ♥︎

It's time for a fun new challenge at Live & Love Crafts! Our theme this month is "Something New," which is open to many interpretations. I was inspired to create a new type of box that I hadn't previously made before. I adore Christmas Cracker Boxes and had a lovely time trying them.

I opted for a non-festive theme as these will be part of an encouragement box of love. Each will be filled with sweet little gifts of hope for a grieving mother.
The pretty papers are from Maja Design's Vintage Spring Basics, which I've adorned with a variety of LLC goodies. The Christmas Cracker svg files are from the generous and talented Monica. Naturally I gravitated to the heart detailing. :o)
Wild Orchid Crafts magnolias rest atop the larger box, with Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes scrolling beneath. Each box has a Maja butterfly from the Coffee in the Arbour collection and different frilly trims and embellishments for variety.
Tiny packages... big heart. I pray these deliver a glimmer of joy to unfathomable heartache.

Be sure to visit the LLC blog where inspiration from my fabulous teamies awaits and I hope you'll play along with us this month! Thank you for visiting and I wish you every happiness this year. :o)

New Baby Magic Box

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting today on the Live & Love Crafts blog with my take on Sandy's celebration theme. :o)

First, I want to apologize for being behind in visiting you. It has been a rough week, as one of my treasured friends is in her final days after a valiant health battle. I will be catching up with you very soon.

My project celebrates new babies via a fun magic box. :o) This was made for a special mother who was blessed with two little miracles. ♥︎ Her little boy has a huge fight ahead of him health-wise, but we have faith that he will overcome and live a healthy life.
The box itself (minus the lid) was made following a tutorial by the supremely talented Tara of Tara's Craft Studio. My box features papers from Maja Design's Vintage Baby, which is filled with elegance and sweetness. I adore this collection.
Opened up, four 'drawers' are revealed to hold precious little keepsakes. Magic!

Back to the exterior for a moment...
Here is a better look at one of the pink sides for her baby girl. The darling papers for the picture frames are paired with pink mist and lilac roses, while baby blue roses accompany the boy sides. My frames are made with Joy! Crafts Oval FramesShabby Chiffon Ruffle Trim lines the bottom.
The lid decor consists of magnolias, roses, and decoration berries. The sweet tags I used for the banner are part of the die-cut sheet in the 6x6 pack.
The interior is lined with the It's a Boy heart design, as I wanted it to be based in love. Valerie lace accents the top and bottom borders. Each drawer showcases different sweet papers, trimmed in Madeleine lace and accented with pearl heart drawer pulls.
(Sorry for the willy nilly angle of this one.) The die cuts are as adorable as the papers. :o) The pink and blue "love" are from La-La Land Crafts Hanging Hearts and Love Word set.

*Edit: Adding this little collage Sandy made because it's cute!
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful weekend! :o)
