3D Christmas at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. :o) Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot! We're turning festive with a theme of 3D Christmas! I'm excited to see what you talented peeps link up!

For my project, I made my first ever Christmas Tussie Mussie. (They're also known as Christmas cone ornaments... but it's more fun saying tussie mussie.)
Whenever my mom sees these cones in Victorian or holiday magazines, she turns all dreamy. Since she doesn't own any, I made her one for her Christmas tree. :o) You can fill them with treats or whatever your heart desires. For heartfelt wintry wishes, I combined two Pion Design paper collections: My Precious Daughter (tiny pink hearts for the sentiments) and Silent Night (for the snowflake cone).
Since we're nature lovers, I filled it with nature's beauty. Peace & Joy is from My Craft Spot's O Holy Night stamp set, which I stamped upon the sweet heart paper and cut out with the Lacy Banners metal dies. This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets from Kimberly! I love it to bits. I inserted a Wild Orchid Crafts crown pearl pin through the lacy banner and nestled it in the arrangement.

My cone is bursting with white and Pink Mist Wild Orchid Crafts roses, along with pine branches and tiny pine cones. For the berries I used pale pink mini poms. Polar White Flower Soft is sprinkled throughout as snow.
My second sentiment is also from O Holy Night, which I cut out with the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I love the elegant fonts in this set! I set it atop a heart from Cheery Lynn Designs' Two of Hearts set. The crinkle ribbon for the hanger and bottom detailing is also from My Craft Spot, which I used in shades of Petal Pink and Snow White. The bow is centered with a WOC scalloped pearl.

I used a 3D cone cut file from the Silhouette Online Store for my base, but removed the hearts along the top so I'd have room for my ruffly sheer ribbon. :o) I trimmed it with more roses for a pretty border. Spiraling down the cone is tiny pom trim from JoAnn's, which I paired with a flat-back pearl strand from The Ribbon Girl. A few snowflakes from Cheery Lynn were added at the last minute for extra dimension.
I hope my mom gets as much joy from it as I had creating it. I made it with all of the sparkly Christmas love my heart holds. :o)

Be sure to visit My Craft Spot to see sweet creations from some of my teamies! I hope you can play along with us this week. :o) Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a day of love and blessings. :o)

Harvest Wreath Card

Happy October, sweet friends! (Anyone know how it's October already?) I hope you're having a wonderful week! Today I'm sharing this Autumn-inspired card on the My Craft Spot blog! :o)

Fall foliage is one of the blessings of the season and I thought it would be fun to create a harvest wreath card with Kimberly's fabulous metal dies. :o) The start of a new month means a new recipient for the treasured I Feel the Love Project, where we deliver love and hope to those in need of extra sunshine.

This month we are making Thanksgiving cards for Atascadero Christian Home, spreading holiday love to the sweet elderly residents in the retirement community. Seniors need to know they're never forgotten. :o)
The beautiful leaves are from the Fall Border metal die set, one of my favorites of the recent release. I only glued down the bottom of the leaves so the rest could curl up a bit. The precious acorns are also from the Fall Border set, to which I added a touch of golden sparkle.
Sporadically tucked around the wreath are apples from the Fall Wheelbarrow set, which I covered in Glamour Dust. Sugared fruit is so pretty in wreaths. :o) The sweet sentiment is from Banner Sentiments- Fall, which I cut out with the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I finished off my wreath with a flowing bow of Candied Orange crinkle ribbon, centered with a gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts rose.

The heart card base is the Heart Border cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. I thought it paired nicely with the heartfelt sentiment. :o) Bo Bunny papers were used for the leaves.

Thank you for fluttering on by and have a blessed day! :o)

Sweet Shaker Card :)

Hello, my sparkly friends! I hope you're having a happy week! Today I'm sharing a sweet shaker card on the My Craft Spot blog. :o)

This is my final contribution for my box of love for Lily, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project who is battling leukemia. As I was contemplating what to do next for her, several colors of Kimberly's sequins were staring me down! I had no choice but to make a shaker for her sweet little hands to play with. :o)
This card began with sequins in sprightly shades of Caribbean, Perfectly Purple, and Tickled Pink...
...and I want Lily to find joy amidst her dark and cloudy days. So I tucked them within a puffy cloud. :o) The clouds are embossed with the D'vine Swirls folder for texture and lightly inked in Broken China distress ink.

Along with loving purple, she loves Disney. The darling Disney sweetheart is a cut file from Treasure Box Designs (We're All Ears). Her sweet expression is my favorite from the Peachy Keen In The Garden collection. I dressed her in Lily's favorite color and used Black Licorice Traditional twine for the shoelaces and Mickey balloon string.
Sometimes the simplest sentiments say it all, don't they? :o) Believe is from the Ornate Labels- Christmas stamp set. I used the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal die set as its base for an extra touch of whimsy and height. The little flowers in the grass were made with the Flowers- Daisy metal die set.

The bright papers (and fussy-cut bunnies) are from Doodlebug's Springtime collection, while the polka dot and starry purples are from Kaisercraft's Magic Happens. Inside, happy little birdies await Lily:

What a joy it has been to create for this angel:
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful day!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 3!

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Welcome to Day 3 of the My Craft Spot stamp release party! All week long we're showcasing sneak peeks of FIVE new stamp sets and FOUR new metal die sets! :o) All of the new goodies will be available for purchase on Saturday!

Today we are featuring the new Banner Sentiments- Fall stamp set! This set is so versatile, as it has sentiments covering every aspect of the season. :o) Not only so, but they perfectly fit Kimberly's range of banner dies.

For my project, I made a sweet treat bag for a special little girl. This is for Lily, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project. She is battling leukemia and it is an honor to shower her with love!
Owls are especially sweet when paired with a fun little pun! The sentiment is from this fabulous new set, which I've cut out with the coordinating Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I love the ability to manipulate clear stamps to fit wavy dies like these.
See the precious pumpkins? They are from the NEW Fall Wheelbarrow metal die set, which I love! Kimberly never misses a detail, such as the whimsical curlicue vines and optional punkie faces. :o) I'm anxious to use the marvelous wheelbarrow, too.
I combined two cut files from the Silhouette Online Store to make my treat bag. The bag itself is a Pebbles in my Pocket design, although I swapped out the heart with a different one. I opted to cover the scallop top with this adorable Lori Whitlock Owl Valentine treat bag topper. I turned them harvesty and gave them chocolate hearts. ;) My exterior papers are DCWV The Pumpkin Patch, while the interior is from Aunthenique.
I hope it brings a smile to sweet Lily's face. :o)
Hop on over to My Craft Spot to see the incredible variety of projects from the entire team! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Jute String (10 yards of these 4 colors)!
(I used the Parrot Green and Purple jute string Monday on my cauldron treat box.) Thank you for fluttering on by! Have a sweet and sparkly day. :o)
