Crafty Fun with 7 Kids College Fund

Hello, sweet friends! I hope your day is as lovely as you.♥️My long-time crafty friends may recall my design team work with 7 Kids College Fund... many moons ago! I became very good friends with my DT sisters during that journey. Recently the store was to close until two of those friends (Karen and Kelly) purchased it.

They asked me to contribute in their DT on some way, which of course is an honor! I will be joining them for their monthly challenges. It is a pleasure to work alongside my sweet and talented friends. The store recently re-opened and today begins the first challenge under new ownership at the 7 Kids blog! Our theme is Anything Goes! The DT is adding a twist of Autumn/Halloween.
My card is filled with harvest love.♥️ The darling image is from Joy! Crafts Autumn Paper Bloc. She is framed with a beautiful Wycinanka chipboard frame from their Elegance collection. Whimsical Sunflower Pearl Lace dances below.
She is surrounded in Wild Orchid Crafts flowers (coming soon to 7 Kids!), from within Magnolia Heart Flourishes scroll. A Harvest Wine bow is centered with a stunning button from the Rhinestone and Pearl Button set.
Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts dies serve as extra harvest love beneath the My Craft Spot sentiment (no longer in business). My papers are from Maja Design's Walking in the Forest and my card base is made with Go Kreate Frame Frilly 7 dies.

One lucky crafter who plays along with us will win a lovely gift certificate to the 7 Kids store! I hope you'll join us. :) Be sure to check out my teamies' creations on the blog, where seasonal inspiration awaits.
Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a sparkly day. ♥️

Autumn at Deep Ocean Challenge!

Hello, sweet and sparkly friends! I hope your week is off to a beautiful start. :o)

Speaking of beautiful, today begins a new challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge and we are celebrating Autumn! My heart sparkles ever brighter as the landscape changes into the loveliest color palette, with leaves pirouetting in the crisp Autumn breeze.
I pulled out my favorite seasonal goodies for my card, which will serve to bring a moment of joy to a battling heart. The papers are from Maja Design's Walking in the Forest, which I've paired with a sweet sentiment from My Craft Spot's Fall Leaves (no longer produced). The pumpkins, acorns, leaves, and beautiful border are MCS dies and no longer produced. (Still sad about that.)
The trims and charms are from Live & Love Crafts: Burlap Trim, Natural Hemp, and darling pine cone charms. The base of my sentiment and fence dies are from Joy! Crafts. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The inked leaves are coated in Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint for a touch of authenticity, which was fun. I hope the recipient enjoys this card as much as I did making it for her. ♥︎

Thank you for twirling on by! Be sure to check out what my inspiring teamies created for the challenge and I hope you play along with us, too. Have a blessed day. :o)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday, sparkly friends! Welcome to the My Craft Spot Blog Hop, where we're celebrating the Fall release! All of the new goodies are now available for purchase HERE! Each stop on the hop is giving away a gift certificate to Kimberly's store to put toward the purchase of your choice! Yay! :o)

I'm your last stop on this celebratory blog hop! You should have arrived here from the sweet and talented Kate of Small Bits of Paper. If you've just stumbled upon my blog, flutter on over to Kimberly at My Craft Spot to start the beginning! You won't want to miss a single stop. :o)

I adore the harvest season and all it entails, from Autumn's foliage to the zip-zip of corduroy! :o) One of my favorite things is spending time with loved ones, sharing a sweet treat as we treasure precious moments together. Times of encouragement and building up of faith, being thankful for every blessing from above.

To accompany these beautiful moments, I made a sweet treat box that doubles as a pretty home decor accent. :o)
What a joy this was to create! I saw this tutorial at Stamp Artic for a tea box and instantly fell in love. I will be making more of these in various designs/sizes for tea, candles, hot cocoa, etc. Stamp Artic provides a wonderful base with which to begin. Naturally I began with chocolate. ;)
The fluttering leaves throughout the box are from the NEW Fall Border metal die set. The border itself is stunning and I am so happy Kimberly included layering dies for each part, enabling them to be used individually. I inked up my leaves to make them two-toned and painted them with Rock Candy Crackle Paint.
The gorgeous sentiment is from the NEW Fall Leaves stamp set. This is one of my favorite sets, as it is filled with such beautiful greetings in varying sizes. It's perfect for any project expressing Autumn, harvest, or thankfulness.
For the front of my box, I created a sweet little scene with some of the new dies. The leaf and acorns are from the Fall Border set and the sweet pumpkins are from the Fall Wheelbarrow set.
Along with chocolates, the box contains a few tags to remind us to keep a thankful lifestyle and to enjoy this beautiful season. More will soon be added. :o)
My papers are from Maja Design's Walking in the Forest. The decorative bottom of my box is a Spellbinders Romantic Rectangle. The top of my backing design is Marianne Design's Anja's Vintage Decoration. The frame I created for my sentiment is a Spellbinders Gold Labels Four, while my tags are Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles.

You can't have a blog hop without BLOG CANDY, right?! Kimberly is generously supplying each of us with a $10 Gift Certificate to the My Craft Spot Shop to give away! To be eligible to win mine, simply leave me a comment on this post. :o) (I will select and announce the winner on Monday morning!)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 4!

Hello, sweet friends! Welcome to Day 4 of the My Craft Spot stamp release party! All week long we're showcasing sneak peeks of FIVE new stamp sets and FOUR new metal die sets! :o) All of the new goodies will be available for purchase on Saturday!

Today we are featuring the NEW Chalkboard Sentiments- Fall stamp set! I have such an affinity for larger sentiments that have an abundance of beautiful words. There are several of those throughout this release. :o)

I made a fun pumpkin card to let this gorgeous sentiment shine. It is for the upcoming Thanksgiving recipient of the beautiful I Feel the Love Project. :o)
The pumpkin is a Miss Kate Cuttables cut file, which I purchased at the Silhouette Online Store. Per usual, I used the Silhouette Software to turn the cut into a card base. How I adore shaped cards! This particular design has the perfect panel to let the greeting take center stage... and isn't it a beauty?
I love the chalkboard design of it. :o) The pretty leaves by the stem are from the Flowers- Daisy metal die set, which are embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder. A double-bow of sweet Candied Orange crinkle ribbon adds a fluttering harvest breeze, which I centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts rose.

My papers are from Maja Design's Walking in the Forest. I've said that a lot lately, haven't I? I'm blowing through this gorgeous collection! My layers are inked with Spiced Marmalade distress ink for a warm glow and popped up with foam tape for dimension.
Flutter on over to the My Craft Spot blog for lovely inspiration from my teamies! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: A $10 Gift Certificate to the My Craft Spot store!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 2!

Hello, my sweet friends! I hope you're having a beautiful day! Welcome to Day 2 of the My Craft Spot stamp release party! :o)

Today we are featuring the NEW Fall Leaves stamp set! How I adore the sentiments on this set... so much beauty, in word and font. :o) (All of the new stamps and metal die sets will be available for purchase on Saturday!)

I made an Autumn criss-cross card to showcase a couple of sentiments and a stunning new metal die. :o) It is for the upcoming Thanksgiving recipient of the cherished I Feel the Love Project.
I love the whimsical touches to the fonts in this set. It reminds me of leaves fluttering in the crisp breeze. :o) Many sentiments, like this one on the front of my card, are year-round sentiments. It is important to express and encourage thankfulness all year long and Fall Leaves does it beautifully.

Isn't this border exquisite?! It is the NEW Fall Border metal die and I love it to bits!
I used various distress inks to make my leaves appear to be changing colors and then covered them in Clear Rock Candy crackle paint. These dies are truly beautiful. I love the sweet embossing on the acorns, too. :o)
The card insert features one of my favorite Fall Leaves sentiments. I bordered it with a stamp from the Build A Birthday set.
My Copic-colored cutie is Apple Blossom by Elisabeth Bell for this card. The pretty trim along the panels are from the Fancy Edges 2 metal die set. The wide Autumn ribbon is from my stash, which I layered with Harvest Wine crinkle ribbon. Machine stitching and a variety of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers complete the front.
I am so grateful to be slowly returning to coloring! I need to take it easy on my still-recovering arm, but it felt amazing to play with my Copics again. Apple Blossom and my sentiments are layered with Spellbinders Gold Labels 4 and the coordinating Labels 4. All of the beautiful papers are from Maja Designs' Walking in the Forest.

Flutter on over to the My Craft Spot blog to see the inspiring creations from the team! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: A $10 Gift Certificate to the My Craft Spot store!

Birthday Love :)

Hello, crafty friends! I hope everyone is doing sparkly! :o) I'm posting on the My Craft Spot blog today, sharing a new creation with Kimberly's new Flowers- Daisy dies. :o)

A nature-loving family member has a birthday on Saturday, so I turned to a few of my favorite My Craft Spot goodies to show my love. :o)
Each layer of the beautiful daisy dies is popped up with dimensionals and the petals are gently curled. The leaf dies in the set are gorgeous, which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder.
The sweet sentiment is from the Build a Birthday stamp set. I adore this set, as there are so many options and such fun greetings! My center layers are Spellbinders Gold Labels 4. I rarely make a birthday card without some type of bunting, so I used the Tiny Tag metal dies for this one! The tags are slightly curved upward at the bottom to give an appearance of gentle waving. Antique Gold jute string ties my banner together.

You may be curious about these gorgeous papers! I received a gift last week from my sweetheart... a little box of paper love for making some tough decisions and pressing on through challenging days. Part of the gift are these Maja Design papers, from the Walking in the Forest collection. It's honestly one of my dream paper collections! Like Pion Design (which I used in my double-sliding lid box), Maja is based in Sweden. All my favorite papers are from Swedish companies! :/

The Autumn papers throughout are extraordinary, most of which I'm saving for a little later. I'm still afraid to use my ultimate favorites. But this beautiful owl and birdie paper was perfect for the recipient, so I dove right in. The coordinating papers on this card are so lovely in person... so warm and happy. The butterflies are fussy cut from the collection, as well.

A peek inside, which is the only non-Maja Design paper. I couldn't bear to use a piece for the inside! Thankfully this neutral floral from My Mind's Eye paired nicely. :o)
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a sparkly day! :o)
