Soar

Hello, sweet friends! Thank you for your faithful support via comments and emails. My family and I appreciate you. :o) I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, where Sandy has given us free reign in terms of theme. As much as I adore Christmas and wintry crafting, I couldn't let another week go by without some butterfly love. ♥︎

My encouragement card features papers from Pion Design's Alma's Sewing Room, a stunning collection that Pion has sadly moved to the retired list. If you love these papers as much as I, be sure to get some while you can.
This is for the mother of a terminally ill child... and is made with every ounce of love within my heart. (And even more.) The impossibly lovely blues and florals in this collection are perfect for a dreamy butterfly creation. Layers of Marie Therese and Aurelie Lace are topped with Sunflower Pearl Trim for sweet elegance. A Flatback Pearl String trims the bottom.
The butterfly is centered with Half Pearls and has Pearl Stamen for antennae. Its dark blue layers are from Glistening Season. The resin Prima Victorian Frame is covered in Picket Fence crackle paint, as this card is representative of soaring above brokenness. Aurelie Lace is tucked beneath the rolled corner, while a Melissa Frances decorative corner accents the opposite.
The Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are sprinkled with Glamour Dust and surrounded by Impression Obsession Heart Stems. My sentiment is from Close to My Heart's Find Your Style, cut out with a Spellbinders Lacey Pennant. Although not evident by this picture, the interior is lined with a tonal floral design.

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful weekend. :o)

Blue Christmas

Hello, dear friends! I have been unable to visit you this week and am missing your beautiful creations. Due to family and health reasons, I have had to take a bit of a break. I will be visiting you as I can. ♥︎

I am posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, where this week's theme is Blue Christmas. I couldn't resist using Maja Design's new collection Home for the Holidays yet again. It is truly lovely. ♥︎

Edit: This is also my DT card for the new Anything Goes challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge, where my teamies have stunning inspiration for you!
I used part of the White Christmas scene to create a card for a nature lover. The Christmas birdies are fussy cut from Maja's previous Christmas collection, A Gift for You. The Prima Resin Birdhouse is covered in Shabby White Frantage and hangs from half pearls. The snowy branches in the image have been dusted with Glamour Dust.
The flowers are some of Sandy's newest goodies. I layered You Do Lace and Burlap flowers and centered them with Frosted Berries. Cheyenne trim ruffles beneath. Sandy has a plethora of gorgeous metal embellishments and my card includes one of her snowflake charms and sweet teeny jingly bells.

The heart frame is from Sue Wilson's Italian Decorative Frames collection, which is layered atop Go Kreate Frame Frilly #10 and Joy! Crafts Lacey Square dies.

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful weekend! ♥︎

Winter Birthday

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you're having a lovely day. :o) I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, showcasing beautiful papers from Maja Design's Home for the Holidays and Vintage Frost Basics.
A dear loved one has a winter birthday and this versatile collection is perfect for such an occasion. The tiny snowflake paper on the front is from Maja's 6x6 Winter Frost Basics, only because I don't yet own the Home for the Holidays 6x6 pad for a small-scale snowflake pattern. It's nice when paper collections work so wonderfully together.
My friend has a beautiful heart of gold, so a Prima Lace Heart resin piece serves as the focal point, which is covered in Shabby White Frantage. Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are covered in Glamour Dust, while pretty trims ruffle throughout the design. The lace Juliette bow is centered with an exquisite Button Etoile.
Inside is one of the gorgeous snowflake designs for a flurry of birthday love. ♥︎

Several lovely dies were used throughout my card. The card base is Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, while the top die-cut layer is the stunning Sue Wilson Embroidered Strip. Magnolia Heart Flourishes accent my flower arrangements, Cheery Lynn Snowflakes flutter about, and the My Craft Spot sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders Lacey Pennant

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a wonderful weekend. ♥︎
