Friendship Gift Box!

Hello, crafty friends! I'm posting on the My Craft Spot blog today, sharing this pretty little friendship gift box! :o)

Like many of you, I am ecstatic that Kimberly is delving into SVGs! The Present Box cut file is fantastic and the options with it are endless. Ever since I made a Christmas one, I've been antsy to create a non-holiday version. One reason I love this file is that it can be used for any occasion... or just because. :o)

The purpose of this one is to celebrate friendship! I am blessed with an especially lovely friend and I used some of my favorite My Craft Spot products to design her a box of happiness. The slightly dark pictures better portrayed the paper colors, so I kept them as is.
She treasures nature, so frolicking around the box are butterflies from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set. I colored them with Copics in blues and purples, fussy-cut them out, and sprinkled the wings with Glamour Dust.
The sweet sentiment is from Stamping All Around Spring, which I cut out with the coordinating Tiny Doilies metal dies and layered with one of the gorgeous Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. The shapes in that set are so beautiful and I always enjoy an opportunity to use one. To hang it, I glued it to the bow portion of the Memory Box Precious Snowflakes set.
The big poofy bow that comes with this cut file is spectacular and I love adding a little surprise to its center. Since the theme of my project is ever-blossoming friendship, I tucked in a rose and placed the tiniest butterfly atop it. She's my special messenger to wish my friend joy every day. :o) (I truly am this sappy.)

The pretty papers are part of an early Christmas gift from my sweetheart. :o) They are from Maja Designs' Vintage Autumn Basics collection and are inked with Walnut Stain distress ink. The sweet roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Have a blessed day! :o)

Christmas in the Heart

Hello, sweet friends! I'm posting again today on the My Craft Spot blog, bringing some seasonal joy! Christmas is my favorite everything and I couldn't wait a moment longer to indulge in festive elegance. :o)

I made a card and tag set for a very special friend and had such a fun time filling it with lots of sappy love. :o)
This started with Kimberly's gorgeous Christmas sentiment from the Joy to the World stamp set.
It's such a beautiful greeting. The snowflake flourish above it is from Ornate Labels- Christmas. I framed it in 'snowy' Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and sparkly jingly bells. My bouquet consists of Pink Mist and white roses, hip rosebuds, and cosmo daisies. I always love using their gorgeous blooms! I sprinkled them with Polar White Flower Soft for a fluffy touch of snow. Both pearl trims are also from WOC.
I also used several Cheery Lynn Designs products. The pretty base frames are the Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames, my snowflakes are from their snowflake set, and the snowy vines in my bouquet are Mini Fanciful Flourishes. Memory Box dies create my peaceful scene along the bottom: Frosted Spruce Tree (accented with Flower Soft) and part of the Deer Trio, frolicking along a pearly trail of snow.
The coordinating gift tag base is a Marianne Design die, which I decorated with several of Kimberly's goodies! I truly love the Clock Time stamp set, so I used it for my focal point to declare it officially Christmas Day. My clock is atop a Tiny Doilies 2 metal die base, which reminds me of a snowflake. More WOC flowers and Cheery Lynn snowflake/flourish dies surround it.
Merry Christmas is from Joy to the World and the sweet holly corners are from Ornate Labels- Christmas. They are colored with Copics and sprinkled with Glamour Dust. (Glamour Dust also covers every snowflake because I cannot stop using it.) I made the large layered snowflake on top of the tag with two dies from the Flowers- Daisy set, which rests atop Petal Pink and Vanilla Bean crinkle ribbon. Each of the three layers are popped up with foam tape for dimension.

My papers are from Pion Design's Silent Night, which are so lovely in person. I hope it fills my friend's heart with heavenly joy. :o)
Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a blessed day! :o)

Bear Hugs :)

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! I hope you're having a beautiful weekend! I'm fluttering in to post on the My Craft Spot blog today. :o)

This is my latest contribution for sweet Lily, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project. While she battles leukemia, I want her to know how deeply she is loved. Purple is her favorite color, so I used some of my favorite purple goodies throughout.
Most of my projects are for charitable purposes and I can always count on Kimberly to have the perfect sentiments, regardless of the recipient's age or difficult circumstance. I wanted to send Lily some teddy bear hugs, courtesy of this sweet Posy Trio stamp from Lili of the Valley (colored with Copics).
The precious sentiment is from Tiny Tags 3, which is cut out with the coordinating Tiny Tags metal dies. I love the bear(y) greetings on that set! :o) I tucked it beneath Buttercup crinkle ribbon, chosen to reflect ruffles of sunshiny love. The gorgeous roses throughout are from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I've trimmed with Star Dust.

The scalloped bases for the teddy bear stamps are from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die set. I used the new Fancy Edges- Halloween metal die set to add the stitched design to the top of the middle panel. The beautiful borders were made with the floral die in the Fancy Edges 2 set. I love how it looks lacy. :o)
The butterfly is a Memory Box Isabella die, which is cut out with glittery purple cardstock and covered in Glamour Dust. She's sparkling with so much hope for Lily! My papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Bluebell collection.
Such a strong little girl... I hope these little bears bring a smile to her heart. :o)
Thank you for fluttering on by and have a blessed weekend! :o)

Just for Little Girls at My Craft Spot!

This is my second post of the day!
For the Blog Hop with a Difference, please click HERE or scroll down.

As promised, I am back with another post! :o) Today starts a new challenge at My Craft Spot and it's especially sweet: Just for Little Girls!

This coordinates perfectly with this month's I Feel The Love Project recipients. We are creating cards for Friendship Home, which supports and shelters victims of domestic violence and their children. I wanted to include a card for an especially tiny person, which this challenge is ideal for. :o)
The precious little elephant is from the Silhouette Online Store, as is the scalloped star base. For her ground I layered the floral border from the Fancy Edges 2 metal die set and Buttercup crinkle ribbon. (Ruffly sunshine is guiding her to brighter days ahead.)
The sentiment and elephant stamp are from Stamping All Around Spring, which I've cut out with the Tiny Doilies metal dies and popped up on a Tiny Doilies 2 base. I chose one that could be used for a birthday card or an encouragement card. I used Stone twine for the balloon string.

My papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Bluebell collection, which are inked with Dusty Concord. Victorian Velvet was used on the pink. I've been anxious to use this sweet little mouse paper... how cute are they holding their love letters? I hope it entices a smile from the little girl who will soon hold this. :o)
Thank you for visiting! I hope your day is filled with sparkles and sunshine. :o)

A Dabble into Scrapbooking!

Hello, sweet friends! I am posting on the My Craft Spot blog today. It's a first for me... a double layout for scrapbooking! :o) This took quite a bit of time, especially since slowed with my arm injury, but I am just thankful to be able to do some crafting at a snail's pace. I miss my Copics, but hope to return soon.

I've had it on my sappy heart to squeeze in some time for preserving special memories. It was hard for me (the challenge of NEW), but I had such a blast and it was fun incorporating Kimberly's goodies into such a large design.

Note: I promise my layouts are both 12x12 and even! I did not realize I had the camera angled. Lesson learned! :o)
My first scrapbooking project is for the memories my sweetheart and I will make this upcoming holiday season, so I was guided by my whimsical side.
This album starts with a wintry backdrop, with touches of Christmas cheer sprinkled throughout. (Decorated trees, red and green lollipops, festive sentiment, etc.)
My little village scene, comprised of the cafe, two cutie pies, and title, are cut files from Treasure Box Designs. This Cocoa Cafe cut file came with a blank regular sign, which to me means tiny doily fun instead! :o) The "Friendship Warms the Heart" sentiment is from Stamping All Around Christmas. I cut it out and layered with the coordinating Tiny Doilies and Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. The snow and whipped cream are embossed, but sadly is washed out in the pictures. (We agreed we want to live in this sweet cafe!)
I forgot to take one particular picture! I adhered these photo mats as pockets, with two journaling tags nestled behind them. The 'pulls' for my tags were created with the Ornate Labels metal dies. The stamped border and sentiments are from Ornate Labels-Christmas, as is the heat-embossed scrolling snowflake border.
Doesn't she just melt your heart? I love that she has a cookie wafer in her hot cocoa... it's one of the sweetest accents in this entire cut file! I love all of their appearances. For personality, I used my favorite set of Peachy Keen face stamps: In the Garden.
The other side has a larger mat for an extra special photograph. To pair with the sweetness of the Cocoa Cafe, I fussy-cut lollipops and used one of my favorite of Kimberly's products: the Jar Basics metal dies!
I made a mason jar filled with holiday treats. :o) My sentiment is from Tiny Tags 3, which is cut out with the coordinating Tiny Tags metal dies. I used the same beautiful traditional twine throughout my double layout.
The sweet reindeer is also from Treasure Box Designs. (Bobble Buddies- Reindeer.) He's so precious!
Lastly, the sappy title and adorable photo mat border. :o) Tons of dimension and embossing throughout the entire layout, which angled pictures would have shown, but I was rushed. My papers are from Recollections' The Ballet, which I've already stated is a favorite. I bought two stacks two years ago because I love so much of it and am down to one sheet of my beloved purple snowflakes! The hanging snowflakes are Memory Box Precious Snowflakes, while all of the individual snowflakes are from Cheery Lynn Designs. :o)

Thank you for fluttering on by! I wish you a blessed day! :o)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 5!

Happy Friday, sweet friends! Welcome to Day 5 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party! :o) I'm thrilled you've been enjoying the sneak peek week! Tomorrow is the big BLOG HOP, which you won't want to miss! Also, all of the new goodies (four stamp sets and two metal die sets) will be available for purchase Saturday! Yay!

Today we are featuring the new Build A Birthday stamp set! I adore the festivity, from the lovely font to the sweet and fun sentiments! I used this fabulous set for my mom's birthday, which we celebrated earlier this week. :o)
I'm happy to say she loves her card. :o) My cake shaped base is a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store and worked to perfection with my sentiment choice! The polka dotted papers represent her beloved dark chocolate chocolate chips. :o)
This is one of my favorite sentiments! The fun little accent stamp is also from the new set. (I always love the little extras Kimberly's includes with so many of her sets!) The sentiment fits perfectly within the large circle of the Tiny Doilies metal die set, which I've layered with a beautiful doily from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. I added a Blossom twine bow for extra sweetness.

My papers are inked with Spun Sugar and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and each candle has a Pink Mist Wild Orchid Crafts rose. She loves fancy, including fancy cakes with gorgeous floral detailing. :o) Gold Stickles add sparkle to the flames and I added a few Recollections pearls for elegance.

Be sure to flutter on over to My Craft Spot to see the inspiring creations from the DT! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Tiny Tags stamp set!

Sweet Sailboat Card

Happy Thursday, crafty friends! I hope you're having a happy day. :o) I'm posting on the My Craft Spot blog today and am sharing it here, too!

Shaped cards are always amongst my favorites, but I especially love that they pack a sweet punch when you don't have a ton of time available. I wanted to pour a ton of detailing into this, but the clock was against me! That is the beauty in shaped cards...

This little sailboat will soon be fluttering straight into the heart of a precious baby girl named Violet who is in need of extra love and sunshine as she battles leukemia. She is this month's I Feel the Love Project recipient and I already love her with all of my heart.
Because Violet is only 1 year old, I made it bright and whimsical! The sailboat cut file is from the Silhouette Online Store and I decorated it with fun butterfly, heart, and polka dot Doodlebug papers. These sweet butterflies are fluttering over to Violet, guiding the sailboat with a base of love. I added a border of tiny pom pom trim for her tiny little fingers to explore.
The sweet sentiment is from Stamping All Around Spring, which I've cut out with the coordinating Tiny Doilies metal dies and layered with a Tiny Doilies 2 stitched base. My flag on top was created with the Lacy Banners metal die set, which I've adorned with her sweet name. Kids always love personalization. :o)

The shadow of my card is bright yellow for a sunshiny background, as I want all of her days to be filled with heavenly light. I added a few Bo Bunny rhinestone flourishes to the heart bottom as sparkling waves... or as a reflection of the glimmering sunbeams dancing on the water's surface. This sailboat is guided by and built upon love. I hope it makes this sweet child smile. :o)

Thank you for sailing on by and I wish you a blessed day! :o)

Shake It On at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, my sweet friends! I hope everyone had a beautifully blessed Easter! :o)

Today starts a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week we have an especially fun one for you: Shake It On! There are tons of options and I ended up shaking three different elements onto my card: Embossing powder, flower soft, and glamour dust!

This card is another contribution to this month's I Feel the Love Project. We are crafting for children that are abused, neglected, or at-risk, as well as the loving staff who cares for them at Tennyson Center for Children.

For this card, inspiration runs deep. This tiny dancer is gazing upward to her blossoming future... unfurling in the most beautiful way.
The precious dancer is Lil Ballerina, a digital stamp by Mo Manning. After coloring her with Copics, I used a tiny flourish from MCS' Tiny Tags 2 set to stamp her a frame. Not just a regular frame, of course... but ribbons of love. Her sweet little bun is sprinkled with flower soft and her tutu is covered in Glamour Dust, making it super sparkly in person.
My dream dance studio is lined with ornately designed arched windows, which was the inspiration for the sentiment base. I tucked in half of a doily from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die set, making it a pretty arch adorned with pearls. My sentiment is from the Ornate Labels- Christmas stamp set. I need this brave and beautiful recipient to believe in the beauty that lies ahead of her.

A tiny butterfly (cut from golden musical score paper) rests atop the rolled corner... a little encourager helping to direct the dancer's path. The flower arrangement is made of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I didn't have the proper shade of aqua, so I used a Copic marker to color the edges of a few white ones to match the image. A heart stick pin is nestled inside, anchored in love. The Copic-colored butterfly near the bottom is from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, sparklified and layered atop a whimsical pearly flourish.

My six-loop bow was made with Sky Blue crinkle ribbon. I had never made a six looper before but love how it resembled the tutu. :o) It rests atop gorgeous wide lace from The Ribbon Girl, lined with a flat-back pearl strand.
The butterfly border fluttering atop the card is from Joy Crafts, which I really wish showed up better here. I colored the centers with Copics and sprinkled them with Glamour Dust. The WOC silver metal filigree corner was heat-embossed white.

The papers are from Kaisercraft's Enchanted Garden. I love the soft colors and dreamy designs.
I do not know who will receive this card, but I do know that they will receive an abundance of my and God's love. Initially, the driving inspiration was a child or teen who needs to be immersed in healing love and light. One who needs to believe again... or maybe believe for the first time. But during one of the many moments I struggled while making this, I realized it could be destined for a staff member. A caregiver battling to deal with the horrid reality of innocent children being abused. Sometimes it is the adult who needs a reminder to believe in the future of the (temporarily) shattered child that has come into her life.

Be sure to check out the creations from my amazing DT sisters at My Craft Spot! I hope you'll play along with us this week... I look forward to seeing your inspiring creations! Have a beautiful day of love and sunshine. :o)

Birthday Puppy!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I'm quickly sharing a birthday card at My Craft Spot and also with you! I pray everyone has a blessed Easter tomorrow. :o)

While not an Easter project, it is actually a perfect time to share this! It is made to bring love, light, and hope to a child suffering far more than he ever should. Whimsically designed, yet filled with healing divine light. This is part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project, where we are creating for abused, neglected, and at-risk children... as well as the staff who lovingly care for them at Tennyson Center for Children.

What little boy doesn't love a sweet puppy, right? :o)
This cutie pie is a cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs, titled Time to Celebrate Dog. I used bright and cheerful papers from Doodlebug Designs, surrounding the pup with a paw print frame from the Silhouette Online Store. I wanted it to be like he was frolicking through the adorable tree-filled park. :o) I slightly altered the frame so there was less white space on the outskirts of the paw prints.
I love the circular sentiments Kimberly offers and Stamping All Around Spring is one of my favorites! I paired the fun birthday greeting with one of the gorgeous metal dies from Tiny Doilies 2. For a final festive touch, I topped the puppy's party hat with a pom made from Maraschino twine. I resisted the urge to add a plethora of sparkles since this is for a little boy, but I did sneak in some sparkling Core Couture paper for the paw prints and twinkling eyes. :o)

Nestled beneath the celebratory doggie bone are five little hearts, cut out with the versatile Scrapping Life Cards Metal Dies. It's fun finding places to tuck a little extra love within projects. :o)

A peek at the colorful interior and the dimension on the front created with foam tape:
Thank you for visiting and have a blessed and Happy Easter! :o)
