Hello, sweet friends! I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a lovey-dovey card featuring Maja's Vintage Romance papers and Wycinanka chippies. ♥︎
This is to celebrate the unwavering love between a beautiful couple whose child is enduring a terminal disease. How I love this family. Their daughter's disease has progressed so it is on my heart to make them a box of love. ♥︎
This is to celebrate the unwavering love between a beautiful couple whose child is enduring a terminal disease. How I love this family. Their daughter's disease has progressed so it is on my heart to make them a box of love. ♥︎
Vintage Romance has so many gorgeous designs that I'm only now playing with the blues. They are timeless and beautiful, just like this couple's love. My focal point is the Lovely Swans chippie, which I've set upon Forget Me Not paper. For this purpose, it's reminiscent of sweet petals floating atop a pond. A few Mini Hearts flutter about. The stunning Wycinanka Sweet Dreams No. 4 Frame surrounds my little scene.
The pearly bubbles nestled around them each represent a sweet memory shared. Shabbylicious Ruffle Lace trims the bottom (waves of love ♥︎), which is lined with Pearl Garland. A Lace Heart Appliqué is topped with a Seam Binding bow, while Background Hearts float up behind. Ever-blossoming love needed to tucked within every inch possible. ♥︎ My chippies are painted with white acrylic paint. The foliage within my flowers is from Tattered Lace.
The sentiment is cut from one of the pretty Vintage Romance papers, upon which a sweet Pion butterfly has landed. ♥︎ It is vital to recognize and embrace the love that surrounds them, which I'm grateful they do. As days become even harder, I pray their love continues to rise up and conquer the darkness.
The interior is filled with even more love... you can never have too much. ♥︎ Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful weekend. :o)

ReplyDeleteWow Karen, I am completely speechless this time around! This may be one of my absolute favourites of yours!! I am so in love with how you put all these wonderful embellishments together without making the card look too busy! Wonderful paper choices, and I love the doily tucked in between the layers! The ring of pearls around your focal piece is like a dreamy river of shabby love!! Your swans are amazing and I love how you framed them and added the little hearts! This is truly a wonderful card that I could just sink right into! sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an incredible showcase featuring love, Karen. The peaceful Hues, the delicate swans, the golden gilded edges of your card, serve to remind us that love is fragile but it is also very strong. How caring of you to constantly think of all the family members when one is in during a terminal illness. It helps to remind those who are left behind that life is still a gift, and that love will always conquer the hardships we have in life, even if it is not the way we had hoped. Gorgeously done, Karen. xxoo
ReplyDeleteKaren, your beautiful comments on my blog so brightened my difficult days. I need to write more, but for tonight, I just send you a kiss and my thanks. Hugs, Wends x
ReplyDeleteKaren, I always visit your blog with such hope and love, because that is what I know I will find there! Your card with it's many gorgeous and shabby layers is full of love for this couple to share and hold onto during these extremely difficult days they are enduring! I cannot tell you how gracious and giving you are in your card and box of love you have prepared for them...may it give them comfort! Bless you!!! I can't say anything that everyone else hasn't already said about your amazing swan lake card here, except how I love those pearls and that chipboard frame which represents the lake those beautiful swans are floating on. This is just a lovely, lovely scene! Big hugs to you, and I hope your days are growing brighter!
