Bridge of Love

Hello, sparkly friends! I'm posting a sweet little wedding card on the Live & Love Crafts blog today. The florals in Maja Design's Summertime are beautiful for all things lovey-dovey. ♥︎
For the focal point, I combined two stunning Wycinanka chippies: Bridge of Love is nestled within the Blueberry Swirls frame (one of my favorites). I debated for quite some time how to handle this combination, but in the end I preferred leaving them in their natural, minimally-adorned state. ♥︎
Sweet little clusters of Wild Orchid Crafts blossoms (and a Pomegranate Apple for sparkle) accent the frame, while a tiny Maja butterfly has landed atop the railing. ♥︎ The frame is surrounded with Shabbylicious Ruffle Lace for softness. Pearl Drop Trim and Tulle are quintessential wedding, above which I added a panel of butterflies (a Die-Versions die). One of Sandy's new pretty trims is Alicia, with which I have lined the butterfly panel and accented the rolled corner.
Tiny Pearl String and Flatback Pearl String accent throughout, while shabby Liberty Bells ring atop a Lace Heart Appliqué. (I have run myself out of these Liberty Bells... they are so beautiful!) The top of my card is a Joy! Crafts Edge die. My sentiment is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a sparkly day! ♥︎

Your romantic wedding keepsake certainly does speak the language "lovey-dovey"! those bells remind us of gentler times when that sort of music reached out to the corners of the neighborhood to shout happiness and joy! 13. Hi Karen. To be honest i would be afraid to venture including red to a wedding card but you sure have proved me wrong!!! This is a most beautiful and romantic wedding card with just the right amount of passion coming through from your lovely, balanced, red elements. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Wishing the happy couple years of wedded bliss. I know what you mean about whether to paint the chipboard or not, im debating this frequently too as some of the chipboards are awfully fragile and come apart easily. The wycinanka ones from Sandy do seem to hold up best to a little inking. Hope your week is going well. Nicola x

  18. This isn't just a card, Karen, this is a work of art that the recipients are going to treasure as a keepsake of their beautiful day. I keep going back to take another look and this post would turn into a novel if I commented on everything I love about it :-) Simply said, Karen, it's stunningly gorgeous! All the papers and the embellies are placed with such love and care. It clearly comes across and I know that the recipients will feel it every time they look at it.

  19. Wow, I have quite some catching up to do! I'm stopping in only briefly these days as I'm taking a little break from crafting while I help a friend with her bub. I have no time to indulge my hobby right now, but have been missing seeing my pal's posts! So I'm sneaking in tonight for a quick catch up. This creation is stunning Karen, all the details are utterly perfect as always. I love the way you layered the chippies and that you left them 'naked'. I like that look. It suits this beautiful design perfectly. I utterly LOVE this latest Maja paper set, so many beautiful blooms as you say. A stunning creation hun, truly stunning. Hugs, Wends xoxo
