Beautiful Sagen Rose

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing my green-inspired creation. :o)

This is a rare quick post for me, as my sweetheart whisked me away for a surprise mini getaway to surround me with my favorite things. Thank you for the sweet comments and emails regarding my friend... I appreciate each of you so much. ♥︎ I am eager to catch up with you later today now that I'm home.
I love the muted, vintage greens found in Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics. They, along with the soft pink tones, pair beautifully with Sagen Vintage Design images.
The gorgeous rose image is from Sagen's Mix sheet. The delicacy is one of my favorite aspects of it. It is atop a Joy! Crafts Frame and Three Corners die. Detailing the bottom of my card are a few of Sandy's cream-colored goodies: Maya Road Tulle Pleat Trim, Valerie Lace, and Flatback Pearl String. The lovely butterfly border is a Die-Versions Whispers die. It is trimmed with a Cheery Lynn Anastasia border.
The Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are combined with flower sprays and decoration berries, with a sweet pearl heart accenting the corner. I can never resist sneaking in extra love. ♥︎ The greenery is from Magnolia's Heart Swirl.
A resin corner from Prima's Lace Heart and Corners collection is sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage, as the touch of gold is so pretty with this color palette. Joy! Crafts Butterfly Edge flutters above.

For the Boys at Deep Ocean Challenge!

Hello, dear friends! Thank you for the lovely words of support last week. I appreciate you. ♥︎ My beautiful friend gained her angel wings on Saturday. I miss her terribly but am thankful she is no longer in pain.

The sweet and talented Karina has invited me to join the Deep Ocean Challenge Design Team! I had a wonderful time as their Guest Designer a few weeks ago (with my picnic basket) and am delighted to be aboard. They are an inspiring bunch. :o)

The new challenge is For the Boys! I decided to play with a stencil and create a scene for my nature-loving sweetheart. I gave it an Autumnal flair for our love of nature walks amidst fall foliage and the crisp, cooler breezes.
With an obvious lack of crafting time, I was worried about this card... but I think it turned out okay in the end. :o) The stencil is Garden Birch Trees by Memory Box. For my sunset, I used distress ink shades of Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, and a hint of Barn Door.
The sweet deer are the Memory Box Deer Trio, which I've nestled into a floor of fall foliage. The leaves are from a Recollections punch, while the papers are from Bo Bunny.
The Gold Finch is also a Memory Box die. My sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments-Fall, which is sadly no longer in business. It is stamped in Rich Cocoa and cut out with a Spellbinders Lacey Pennant. The acorn die and jute are also from My Craft Spot.

New Baby Magic Box

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting today on the Live & Love Crafts blog with my take on Sandy's celebration theme. :o)

First, I want to apologize for being behind in visiting you. It has been a rough week, as one of my treasured friends is in her final days after a valiant health battle. I will be catching up with you very soon.

My project celebrates new babies via a fun magic box. :o) This was made for a special mother who was blessed with two little miracles. ♥︎ Her little boy has a huge fight ahead of him health-wise, but we have faith that he will overcome and live a healthy life.
The box itself (minus the lid) was made following a tutorial by the supremely talented Tara of Tara's Craft Studio. My box features papers from Maja Design's Vintage Baby, which is filled with elegance and sweetness. I adore this collection.
Opened up, four 'drawers' are revealed to hold precious little keepsakes. Magic!

Back to the exterior for a moment...
Here is a better look at one of the pink sides for her baby girl. The darling papers for the picture frames are paired with pink mist and lilac roses, while baby blue roses accompany the boy sides. My frames are made with Joy! Crafts Oval Frames. Shabby Chiffon Ruffle Trim lines the bottom.  
The lid decor consists of magnolias, roses, and decoration berries. The sweet tags I used for the banner are part of the die-cut sheet in the 6x6 pack.
The interior is lined with the It's a Boy heart design, as I wanted it to be based in love. Valerie lace accents the top and bottom borders. Each drawer showcases different sweet papers, trimmed in Madeleine lace and accented with pearl heart drawer pulls.
(Sorry for the willy nilly angle of this one.) The die cuts are as adorable as the papers. :o) The pink and blue "love" are from La-La Land Crafts Hanging Hearts and Love Word set.
