Fly ♥︎

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a card with Pion Design's beautiful Scent of Lavender collection. I also had a play with some new LLC goodies and am in love. ♥︎

I am bringing the beauty and joy of Spring to a young cancer warrior, encouraging her to fly high above the overwhelming heartache. ♥︎
The purple florals from Scent of Lavender are especially beautiful, which I paired with two shades of Pion's heavyweight Palette collection: Purple I and Purple IV. Ruffling along the bottom is the new Shabbylicious Ruffle Lace, which is my new favorite! I want to put it on everything in my house. ♥︎
Sandy has added so many gorgeous products to her store and I am very excited about the Wycinanka chippies. The focal point of my card is from their Spring Circles set, upon which I layered Pion butterflies. My project is ruffling with love, so I tucked a small part of the Background Hearts within the lace. All of the chippies on my card are embossed with Shabby White Frantage.
Fly is from Wycinanka's Make Art word set, which rests above a sprinkling of Background Hearts. Woven within my Wild Orchid Crafts arrangements is lovely pearl garland. The garland is available in several gorgeous colors.

(Forgive the photography of this final picture especially... I'm including it only because it shows the inside. I wish I had time to re-do these photos!)
My card base is made with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles. The base for my chippie focal point is from Sue Wilson's Italian Decorative Frames. The leaves are a Tattered Lace die. Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful weekend! ♥︎

  14. How have I missed 3 gorgeous new makes Karen?!! I've been racing around after this kiddos these past two weeks, man we've had some fun. Schools back tomorrow, so I'm catching a quick minute before sneaking off for some much needed rest. But I just saw this gorgeous creation on LLC and HAD to come and leave you some love here too. This is just so beautiful Karen! I love the frantage sprinkled on the woodchip pieces and I love the way you use that Spellbinders die to create the card frame. It's just gorgeous. Every time I've seen you do it I've loved it! Your card is stunning in every little detail. The sweet frame, the butterflies, the lace, the gorgeous blooms and pearl accents. Every detail full of love and beauty. I'll be back tomorrow to catch up on the latest cards. Big hugs for now, Wends x

  19. Fly! Isn't it a magical word, Karen? Do you ever dream that you fly? I do, and I always have the joy of showing others how to. Sometimes, when they cannot fly in my dream, I simply tell them to hold my hand and we fly together! Sometimes there are obstacles in our way, but usually, flying lets us go places we cannot otherwise experience, and we see the earth from above the trees and housetops. Not sure why I share that with you LOL anyway, I love the words FLY and SOAR, and all that they mean.

Your beautiful, full-of-hearts card is sure to please your cancer warrior. She will be delighted that you see this same beauty in her, too. I can only imagine what an especial inspiration your gorgeous and feminine artwork is for those who battle through the toughest days of treatments. In this case, the little clusters of background hearts make me happy - they are delicate, yet lend strength in their numbers.

Karen, there is another challenge blog you might be interested in as well, called DIES R US challenges. Not sure if you are aware of it. May this week be enjoyable in every way! hugs, de

  20. This is one of my favourite cards this year. It simply has everything; gorgeous papers, beautiful chipboards, lovely flowers. Not that those are new ingredients on your cards, but the way you've put all those elements together on this one is outstanding. And now I better go and pack some orders and stop drooling over your creations, LOL.
