My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 1!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party! Each day this week we will be sharing projects to showcase FIVE new stamp sets and FOUR new metal die sets! Kimberly will have a giveaway every day this week, so be sure to leave a comment at My Craft Spot to be eligible for the daily prize. You'll also be treated to an abundance of inspiration from my teamies! The party will conclude with a blog hop celebration on Saturday, where the full release is revealed with prizes at every stop! Kimberly's new goodies will also be available for purchase beginning that day. :o)

This release is all about Fall, from harvest beauty to Halloween fun. Today we are featuring the new Halloween Potions stamp set! (Throughout the week we will also be incorporating the new metal die sets into our projects.)

I made a fun cauldron treat box for my mom, which also includes cuts from TWO of the new metal die sets! My mom already stole this for midnight chocolate emergencies. ;)
My treat box is a cut file from Treasure Box Designs' Treat Box Trio. Both sentiments are from the NEW Halloween Potions stamp set. The drippy cauldron concoction was made with one of the NEW dies in the Fancy Edges- Halloween set. The little bat is from the NEW Halloween Shapes metal die set.

Can you see the crackle? It was hard to photograph. I used Tim Holtz distress crackle paint on the cauldron (Black Soot) and sentiments (Clear Rock Candy).
I love (and appreciate) how many of Kimberly's sentiments fit into existing metal dies! This one fits perfectly in the Tiny Doilies set. The stamped border is from the Build A Birthday set, which I use often. Her extras are always lovely. I wrapped the box in Parrot Green and Purple jute string
Upon discovering that my second sentiment nestled perfectly in the Tiny Tags metal dies, the witch's sparkly pointy shoe begged me to tie it there! :o)
Be sure to zip on over to My Craft Spot to see the marvelous creations from the team! Leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: sequins in Perfectly Purple, Toadally Green, and Creamiscle Orange!
I'll see you tomorrow for Day 2... and my long-awaited return to Copics! Thank you for visiting and have a blessed day. :o)

Anything Goes at 7 Kids College Fund!

Hello again! This is my second post of the day! For Day 3 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party, please click HERE or scroll down! :o)

Today begins a new Anything Goes challenge at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! The DT added a twist to our projects for the challenge: embossing! This card is also part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project collection, where we are crafting for those less fortunate in the community of New Life Shops. Their outreach includes providing shelter, clothing, and food to those in need. IFTL is creating encouragement and birthday cards for the children and families who utilize this agency.

Embossing is one of my favorite techniques and I couldn't resist doubling up on it! My Crafty Individuals Wild Flowers and Butterflies stamp is heat-embossed, while the cream middle panel is dry embossed.
This is one of my favorite (and go-to) nature stamps! It's so lovely and versatile. I opted for bright and sparkly blue embossing powder, which also includes specks of silver, red, and green. (Blue Blaze from Michael's... I love this color!) I sponged a sunshiny background with two Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw.
My stamp is layered upon a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis base, which I've accented with a Wild Rose Studio Blossom Burst. Unfortunately my middle panel is a bit (okay, HUGELY) washed out in these pictures, but it is embossed with a lovely pattern and trimmed with one of the gorgeous borders in the Tattered Lace Beloved Borders set. I remain completely enamored with this set! The tiny butterflies are from a Fiskars punch, which I've covered in Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

My papers are from the Teresa Collins Everyday Moments paper pad. My sweet sentiment is from Lili of the Valley's Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments. It is layered upon one of the sweet doilies in My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies set. My Buttercup crinkle ribbon is also from MCS, which I've centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts rose.

Lastly, an angled view to show the pretty interior. Note: The color of the embossing is accurate in the ABOVE photos! The super sparkly powder dulls the shade's appearance in all of the angular photos, of course. Oy!
I hope the recipient feels the divine light I tried to replicate in this creation. :o) Flutter on over to the Challenge Blog to check out the inspiring embossed creations from my DT sisters! I hope you'll join in the fun, as your work is always a joy to see. :o) Have a blessed and beautiful day!
