Anything Goes at 7 Kids College Fund!

Happy Wednesday, my sparkly friends! I hope you're having a happy week! :o)

Today begins a new challenge at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! The theme is Anything Goes, so link up whatever craftiness you're working on!

This week I made an encouragement card with a stylish stamp from Stamping Bella: Uptown Girl Sunny is Stylish! It is part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project collection, where we are creating for an amazing community center to give encouragement to children and families who utilize their agency, providing shelter, food, clothing. etc. There is also a youth center for ages 4-18, where hot meals are provided, as well as games and computers. I trust there will be a teen girl (or even a sweet mother) who this card is destined for... perhaps one with secret big dreams or simply an affinity for girly girl things. This is to tell her I believe in her and her future!
What a fantastic image to encourage someone to believe in their dreams! She is colored with Copics, except for her suitcase which I paper-pieced for a fun pattern. (I just started practicing coloring folds and pleats... I am a work in progress!) The panel is trimmed with one of the beautiful border dies from the Tattered Lace Beloved Borders set. My background papers are from Echo Park's Be Mine collection, while most of the browns are from Core-dinations
For fashionable French flair, I used my new La-La Land Crafts Eiffel Tower die! Isn't it a beauty? I couldn't resist adding an elegant flourish of flowers and pearls. The Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourish is decorated with Wild Orchid Crafts roses and a sprinkling of pearls. The corner accent is the lovely La-La Land Crafts Filigree Corner die.

The My Craft Spot sentiment is from the Simply Sentiments stamp set, which worked perfectly for this card. :o) Thank you for fluttering on by! Have a blessed day. :o)

Fancy Edges at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, my sweet friends! I hope you had a beautiful weekend! :o)

Today starts a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week we're playing with fancy edges! I can't wait to see what you create. :o)

I had the girliest of girly cards in mind at the beginning, but then something tugged on my heartstrings. Inspired by the star metal die in Kimberly's new Fancy Edges 2 set, I made a starry superhero card for a sweet boy as part of this month's I Feel the Love Project collection.

In trying and uncertain times, I want one of the precious boys to know that he is a superhero for enduring. :o)
To say I was out of my crafty comfort zone is putting it mildly. ;) But that lovely star edge which Batman stands upon was just calling to me for this exact creation! I layered it so it would stand out despite the alternating black and yellow background. The stars shooting out from him are the cut-outs from the star border die, which are also layered.
My sentiment is from Tiny Tags 2, while the cute starry confetti stamped alongside it is from the new Build A Birthday set. I used two metal dies from the Lacy Banners for its base to make it appear as one of the splash bubble things in comics. :o)

Batman and the sunburst star base are cut files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I used my Silhouette software to create a card base out of the sunburst cut file, as a star shaped card seemed fitting for a superhero. :o) Everything is popped up with foam tape for lots of dimension. I hope the recipient enjoys it!
Thank you for flying on by! I wish you a sweet and sparkly day! :o)

Birthday Sweetness :)

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. :o) I'm popping in today with a sweet little birthday card for a special kiddo, showcasing some products from 7 Kids College Fund! This is part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project, soon to be given to a beautiful heart who is going through trying times.

One of my favorite lines carried by 7 Kids is Wild Rose Studio. (As previously stated!) Their stamps are delightful, their papers are beautiful, and their dies are gorgeous! This creation features goodies from one of Wild Rose Studio's newer releases: Squirrel on Branch stamp and Bluebell paper pad!
These coordinating elements are pure sweetness! The stamp is colored with Copics and layered upon one of the dies from the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles set. Star Dust adds a touch of sparkle to the flowers. The papers in this pad are truly whimsical and beautiful... I didn't want to cover up too much of this one.
La-La Land Crafts' Heart Banner die decorates the corner in festive love, which I've layered and accented with Honeydew twine from My Craft Spot. Two of the heart cut-outs from the banner flutter in the sky for an extra touch of sappiness. My sentiment, which hangs from an added Cheery Lynn Designs flourish, is stamped upon a Spellbinders Standard Circle (Small) and is layered atop a Spellbinders Lacey Circle. This is one of my favorite greetings from My Craft Spot's new Build A Birthday stamp set.

The interior is decorated with another lovely design from the collection:

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Blog Hop!

Hello, my sparkly friends! Welcome to the My Craft Spot Blog Hop, celebrating Kimberly's new release! All of the new goodies are now available for purchase HERE! Each stop on this hop is also giving away one of the new products! YAY!

I'm your last stop for the celebratory hop! You should have arrived here from the sweet and creative Kate of Small Bits of Paper! If you've just stumbled upon my blog, head on over to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning! You won't want to miss a single stop. :o)

One of the many things I love about Kimberly's products is that they often start me on a crafty journey I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. I'm featuring two sentiments from the new Clock Time stamp set in my project today, which they completely inspired. :o)

I made a Double Sliding Lid Box for a loved one, with a surprise message nestled inside.
This box is based upon a tutorial by the supremely talented Tara, with adjustments made to suit my different base shape. I used the gorgeous Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles for my base, top frame, and sliding lids.

I adore so many sentiments from Kimberly's new release, including this one:
I wanted to surround it in nature's beauty, so I broke into my cherished Pion Design Shoreline Treasures papers from Sweden. With only one 6x6 sheet of each, I've been saving them for something special. Kimberly's releases are always special to me, so with a quivering hand I cut into several of them. ;) Every patterned paper is from that collection, as are the fussy-cut butterflies.

The interior is a little trip to the bottom of the sea, where sparkling treasures and wisdom await:
The interior sentiment is also from Clock Time, which is truly a must-have set! I wish I had been able to get a complete shot of the inside, but I was having major photography issues. The sweet fishie scene also has shells and the Prima Say It In Crystals embellishment has additional resin flowers in multiple colors.
The waves of ruffling Light Denim crinkle ribbon on top is also from My Craft Spot. It matched beautifully. :o) The church window lace and flat-back pearl strands are from The Ribbon Girl. All other embellishments are from Michael's and JoAnn's. I hope the recipient enjoys this as much as I do! :o)

You can't have a blog hop without BLOG CANDY, right?! Kimberly is generously giving away the stamp set I used today (Clock Time) to one lucky hopper! To be eligible to win, simply leave me a comment on this post! (I will select and announce the winner on Monday morning!)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 5!

Happy Friday, sweet friends! Welcome to Day 5 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party! :o) I'm thrilled you've been enjoying the sneak peek week! Tomorrow is the big BLOG HOP, which you won't want to miss! Also, all of the new goodies (four stamp sets and two metal die sets) will be available for purchase Saturday! Yay!

Today we are featuring the new Build A Birthday stamp set! I adore the festivity, from the lovely font to the sweet and fun sentiments! I used this fabulous set for my mom's birthday, which we celebrated earlier this week. :o)
I'm happy to say she loves her card. :o) My cake shaped base is a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store and worked to perfection with my sentiment choice! The polka dotted papers represent her beloved dark chocolate chocolate chips. :o)
This is one of my favorite sentiments! The fun little accent stamp is also from the new set. (I always love the little extras Kimberly's includes with so many of her sets!) The sentiment fits perfectly within the large circle of the Tiny Doilies metal die set, which I've layered with a beautiful doily from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal dies. I added a Blossom twine bow for extra sweetness.

My papers are inked with Spun Sugar and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and each candle has a Pink Mist Wild Orchid Crafts rose. She loves fancy, including fancy cakes with gorgeous floral detailing. :o) Gold Stickles add sparkle to the flames and I added a few Recollections pearls for elegance.

Be sure to flutter on over to My Craft Spot to see the inspiring creations from the DT! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Tiny Tags stamp set!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 4!

Hello, my friends! Welcome to Day 4 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party!

Today we are featuring the new Word Quotes metal dies! Not only is each die in this set incredibly fun to use, but there are also several ways to use them to maximize their potential. :o) (All of the new goodies will be available to order on Saturday!)

I combined one of the new Word Quotes metal dies with part of a Tiny Tags 3 sentiment to make a sweet and punny card: tweet friend! :o) I also used one of the new Fancy Edges 2 metal dies!
How fun is this? The set comes with several different word quotes and a solid shadow base, enabling you to accomplish a few different effects with your crafting.
My sweet little birdie is singing her greeting, so I stamped a few music notes from the new Music stamp set. :o) The birdie is the Kadoodle Bug Designs Spring Bluebird. The hearts are from the La-La Land Crafts Heart Border... she's just filled with so much love. :o)

Isn't the border die lovely? I centered each beautiful flower with a Wild Orchid Crafts purple pearl and trimmed it with some purple jute string
The stunning papers are from Basic Grey's Euphoria collection, which I recently won and love. (Thanks, Theresa!) This card is part of my work for this month's I Feel the Love Project recipient and I hope with all of my heart that it is a blessing to them. :o)

Be sure to fly on over to My Craft Spot to see the fun creations from the entire DT! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: the 4-inch doily die!

Anything Goes at 7 Kids College Fund!

Hello again! This is my second post of the day! For Day 3 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party, please click HERE or scroll down! :o)

Today begins a new Anything Goes challenge at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! The DT added a twist to our projects for the challenge: embossing! This card is also part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project collection, where we are crafting for those less fortunate in the community of New Life Shops. Their outreach includes providing shelter, clothing, and food to those in need. IFTL is creating encouragement and birthday cards for the children and families who utilize this agency.

Embossing is one of my favorite techniques and I couldn't resist doubling up on it! My Crafty Individuals Wild Flowers and Butterflies stamp is heat-embossed, while the cream middle panel is dry embossed.
This is one of my favorite (and go-to) nature stamps! It's so lovely and versatile. I opted for bright and sparkly blue embossing powder, which also includes specks of silver, red, and green. (Blue Blaze from Michael's... I love this color!) I sponged a sunshiny background with two Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw.
My stamp is layered upon a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis base, which I've accented with a Wild Rose Studio Blossom Burst. Unfortunately my middle panel is a bit (okay, HUGELY) washed out in these pictures, but it is embossed with a lovely pattern and trimmed with one of the gorgeous borders in the Tattered Lace Beloved Borders set. I remain completely enamored with this set! The tiny butterflies are from a Fiskars punch, which I've covered in Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

My papers are from the Teresa Collins Everyday Moments paper pad. My sweet sentiment is from Lili of the Valley's Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments. It is layered upon one of the sweet doilies in My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies set. My Buttercup crinkle ribbon is also from MCS, which I've centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts rose.

Lastly, an angled view to show the pretty interior. Note: The color of the embossing is accurate in the ABOVE photos! The super sparkly powder dulls the shade's appearance in all of the angular photos, of course. Oy!
I hope the recipient feels the divine light I tried to replicate in this creation. :o) Flutter on over to the Challenge Blog to check out the inspiring embossed creations from my DT sisters! I hope you'll join in the fun, as your work is always a joy to see. :o) Have a blessed and beautiful day!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 3!

Hello, my dear friends! Welcome to Day 3 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party! :o)

Today we are featuring the new Music stamp set! This set is beautifully inspiring and I'm anxious to use it again soon! :o) (All of the goodies will be available to order on Saturday!)
With so many lovely sentiments and extras, this set is so versatile. These heartwarming words are for an encouragement card for this month's I Feel the Love Project. All I could think of was using this sentiment as soon as possible to lift up a family who has fallen on hard times.
So enamored with the sentiment, I wanted to essentially repeat it within my design. My cross is from the Silhouette Online Store, which is popped up with foam tape for dimension. The golden shadow represents heavenly light... the same glorious glow used for the 3D heart I made. Each heart is stamped with goodies from the new Music set, as I wanted the notes to be floating outward.

My flourishes are from the My Favorite Things Fancy Flourish die, which are accented with pearls. The butterfly is from the Jar Full of Flowers stamp set, which I've sponged with Scattered Straw distress ink and layered. It's a sweet messenger for the family, soon to be on its way to deliver heavenly hope and light.

The papers are from three collections, which all worked together so wonderfully: My Mind's Eye Blush, MME Mabel, and SEI Promise. I created my card base with a Lori Whitlock background shape. I truly love this entire stamp release, as each set inspires me in so many different ways! :o)

Be sure to flutter on over to My Craft Spot to see the gorgeous work from my teamies! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Jute String! (Five colors of the winner's choice!)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 2!

Hello, my dear friends! I hope you're having a beautiful day! Welcome to Day 2 of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party! :o)

Today we are featuring the new, incredibly fun, Robots stamp set! There are a ton of sentiments, which are in a perfectly robotic font. :o) (All of the new goodies will be available for purchase on Saturday!)

I had never made a robot-inspired card, so I was a wee bit nervous. ;)
Initially, my robot (a Treasure Box Designs cut file) was going to be a little less... adorable and girly. But as I dug for my plain DCWV gray metallic paper, I noticed I had a flourished version! And my favorite Blossom twine was staring at me. Instead of the screw-designed accents with the cut file, she wanted pearlescent brads. And then her iPhone needed a rhinestone 'home' button. What's a girl to do?!

I love a good pun and there are several on this new set! The sweet sentiment is heat-embossed white for a bit of texture and extra fun.

You know my love for shaped cards! I thought it would be fun to make a gear-shaped base for this little sweetheart. I used a gear cut file from the Silhouette Online Store to create my card. And I just so happened to have a flourished dark grey metallic paper... so my gear turned girly, too. (I'm hopeless.)

An angled view to better show the sheeniness of the gray papers:

I studded the gear base with silver brads for additional metal elements. The heart and arrow background paper is from Authentique's Smitten collection. This card is part of my contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project collection, where we are crafting for those less fortunate in the community of New Life Shops. Their outreach includes providing shelter, clothing, and food to those in need. I hope this brings a smile to the heart of the child who receives it! :o)

Be sure to zip on over to My Craft Spot to see the marvelous robot inspiration from the DT! While there, leave a comment on Kimberly's post for a chance to win today's daily prize: Banner Sentiments!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party- Day 1!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party! Each day this week we will be sharing projects to showcase FOUR new stamp sets and TWO new metal die sets! Kimberly will have a giveaway every day this week, so be sure to leave a comment at My Craft Spot to be eligible for the daily prize. You'll also be treated to an abundance of inspiration from the entire team! The party will end with a blog hop celebration on Saturday, where the full release is revealed and prizes will be given at every stop! Kimberly's new goodies will also be available for purchase beginning that day. :o)

Today we are featuring the new Clock Time stamp set and I love every single inch of it! The sentiments are fantastic, as are the images. (Throughout the week we will also be incorporating the new Fancy Edges 2 metal dies into some of our projects.)
The sentiment and clock face are from this gorgeous new set. I love the clocks so much that I used two of them to create a frame for my little scene. I stamped various times on the faces, as we never know God's timing... we just trust that it will be perfect, as Written. I used Rich Cocoa Memento ink to match the paper, stamping first on a spare sheet to lighten the shade.
Isn't the clock face stamp beautiful? I had it on my heart to create a vintage hanging clock, so I combined two cut files from the Silhouette Online Store to meet my vision: a vintage sign post and a vintage label frame. This stamp perfectly fits into the large circle of the Tiny Doilies metal die set.

A close-up of the sentiment, which is among my all-time favorites:
The lovely papers are from the My Mind's Eye Blush collection. I love the deep tones, but still wanted to incorporate a pop of color. I added two Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes for a pretty climbing vine and topped them with sweet Wild Orchid Crafts roses. I created my card base with a Lori Whitlock background shape.

This card is for the June recipient of the I Feel the Love Project. We are using our crafty passion to bring general encouragement, love, and birthday wishes to New Life Shops, an agency who offers shelter, clothing, food, etc. to those in need in their community. What a blessing to create for the families who utilize this agency!

Be sure to flutter on over to My Craft Spot to see the inspiring DT creations and leave a comment for a chance to win the marvelous Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set:
