Dream

Hello, sparkly friends! After a month away, I am grateful to be crafting again! Thank you for sticking with me. ♥︎

I am posting today on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog, combining two of my favorite themes: gardens and ballet. ♥︎ I made this for a cancer warrior who dreams of returning to dance... to encourage her to never give up on the miracle she needs. The gorgeous papers are from LemonCraft's Just Love Me collection.
My pretty papers are from LemonCraft's Just Love Me collection, which are perfect to lift up a downcast heart. WOC purple flowers are exquisite, especially when blooming in abundance. I adore Tea Roses, which I have paired with sweet Cottage Roses and Hip Rosebuds. White Babies Breath and Seam Binding add touches of softness to our spring garden. Pearls are irresistible to me, so a gorgeous Crown Pin is tucked within my flowers and I used a Pearl Heart for corner detailing.
My ballerina is a Marianne Design die, which is adorned with Self-Adhesive Pearls and Net Lace. The gorgeous Blueberry Swirls Lattice is a Wycinanka chippie, which I have given a white-wash of acrylic paint. The lovely heart is also a Marianne die, which I have sponged with Milled Lavender distress ink.
Lilies and a beautiful Magnolia blossom above, while stunning Rose Organza Trim (small) lines the side. I love this precious recipient with all of my heart and pray this reminds her that with unwavering faith in our dear Father above, all things are possible. ♥︎

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a blessed day! ♥︎

  1. Lovely card, Karen, and your recipient surely will want this on display to encourage her during her darkest moments. The pale blue shadow behind your strong dancer is a beautiful touch, providing depth, but still light - as though we should not fear those shadows in our lives. Sweet little pearls truly do adorn everyone's life, no matter how we may feel - the pearls are always there, we just need to search for them under certain circumstances. Beautifully done, Karen! Thank you for sharing your soul in such an art-full manner.

That beautiful ballerina is now on my wish list :-) The last couple of months have been a little crazy, in a good way, but I'm behind with my comments, so I'm now trying to catch up. Thank you for leaving me bloggie love.

  17. Oh, my goodness, Karen! this is breathtaking! I love the ballerina with her pearls, special floral dress and the touch of lace peeking out at her hem line. The backdrop of gorgeous papers and the delicate chippie are lovely and all of your embellishments of lace, pearls, flowers and that amazing sentiment are all so pretty! (my commenting skills are really horrible this morning-my mind won't let my hands say what it wants, if that makes sense) The heart almost looks like vellum and really steals the show for me! Love this and I'm so inspired by your beautiful work! Hugs!
