Pastel Inspiration for Wycinanka

Hello, sweet friends! I'm popping in with a card for the lovely Wycinanka. We were asked to create a pastel inspiration (yay!) along with a peek 'backstage' in the midst of our crafty process. A few such pictures are sprinkled throughout.

I had it on my heart to make a friendship card for a special crafty friend. She is my sweetest friend and I adore her. ♥︎
My favorite pastels are from Pion Design's Easter Greetings collection, so I cut into my last sheet of Cherry Blossom... oh the heartache! (Ha!) My creative process varies, as my inspiration begins with different aspects. This one started with the beautiful paper, as it came to my heart the moment I read our task.

After selecting my focal point (in this case, the friendship sentiment from My Craft Spot), I typically try it out with a few chipboard frames or borders. Forgive my crafty area's terribly dim lighting! :/
I love the intricacy of the lattice work in the Elegance Mini Frames... to me it mirrored the intricacies of the sweetest friendship; the tiny details that make it special. ♥︎
The frame is surrounded with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, from within Summer Wedding Border butterflies flutter about. The lace down the middle was from my very first Live & Love Crafts purchase many moons ago. ♥︎

How do I select my trims for each card? More often than not I lay out several options that come to heart...
... and choose the ones that makes it sparkle. I loved the champagne lace atop the pink paper. I couldn't resist also using a touch of my new favorite pink Marquisa lace from LLC, so I nestled it within a torn section.
For extra beauty for my dear friend, I adorned the top of the card with an Elegance Ornament and pearl drop trim. Graduated sizes of pearls magically appeared on my chippie... it's amazing how often that happens. ;)
Crinkle ribbon (from my friend Diana) and a pearl strand cascade from my flowers for shabby happiness.

And... we're done! ♥︎
Ahh yes... the joy of accurate lighting to really see what a card looks like:
I hope she loves it. :) Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you the sparkliest of days! :)
