Hello, sweet friends! Unfortunately I needed another mini break to take care of lingering injury and family health situations. Thank you for the lovely messages and endless support. I'm happy to be back and eager to visit your sweet blogs this weekend. ♥︎
I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a birthday card for a sweet crafty friend. ♥︎ I have combined two pretty Pion collections: Easter Greetings and My Precious Daughter. MPD has been discontinued by Pion, so be quick to order if interested. It will always be a favorite.
Hello, dear friends!
The base flower and plaid papers are from Easter Greetings. Gorgeous purples are irresistible to me. ♥︎ The beautiful scallop trim is the new Lynette lace, which I've layered into ruffles. Shabby Seam Binding cascades beneath the larger floral arrangement. Magnolia Heart Flourishes are my foliage.
I used two lovely Wycinanka chippies. ♥︎ The Blueberry Lattice serves as my focal point, with sweet Pion butterflies fluttering above. My blueberries have turned into pearls... birthday magic. ;) The Fairy is embossed with Shabby Pink Frantage for festive sparkle. ♥︎
The butterflies are Memory Box Isabella. Their antennae are made with Pearl Stamen for a touch of elegance. The card base is Go Kreate Large Frame Frilly #7 and my sentiment/tag are from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). A Memory Box Whimsy Circle adorns the top corner. Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a sparkly day. ♥︎

Oh Karen, you have done it again! This just made me swoon! I am loving the wood chippies that you are including in work recently, you have a real knack using them just perfectly! This frame is lovely, and you have just turned it into a magical garden lattice for butterflies to land on during a warm summer day. The fairy is so pretty, sitting watching over her garden creatures. Your soft, lush card as whisked me away for a few minutes to a place I wish I could stay.

ReplyDeleteSo many of my favourite things going on in this beautiful card. Firstly the fairy, I have a love of fairies and the like, so this in itself drew my eye but then came the gorgeous lilac tones of the papers and embellishments. An exquisite design.

From a million miles distance, I'd have been able to tell that this is a Karen card. :-) The way you arrange the flowers on your cards is unique, then there's the addition of the tiny pearls and the gorgeous butterflies that seem to always make it on to your cards (at least the spring/summer cards) and the layering of the lace. Despite all the embellishments, you nonetheless always manage to showcase the gorgeous papers. Amazing! Thank you again.
