Hello, sweet friends! I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today with a paper bag inspiration. This was my first time decorating a bag and I enjoyed every moment of it. :o) This bag is working double duty for me, as it also serves as my project for the new challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge! Our theme is Something New. My papers and clay hearts are new, as is my dabble into gift bag decorating! The sponsor for Deep Ocean is The Ribbon Girl, who is offering one lucky winner a lovely assortment of trims (example photo below).
This week has not gone as planned and I apologize for being behind (again) in visiting you. Extra help has been required of me as loved ones heal, but I expect things to calm down very soon. I see your beautiful creations but have not had time to properly comment. :(
Pion Design's To my Valentine collection is irresistibly beautiful in color and design. ♥︎

Pion Design's To my Valentine collection is irresistibly beautiful in color and design. ♥︎
Red is one of my favorite colors with which to craft so I am excited about these papers. Love is for all seasons and the majority of this collection is not Valentine-specific. They are a stunning avenue to share a piece of your heart, especially when bordered by ruffly trims. ♥︎ This will soon be en route to shower love and hope upon someone enduring overwhelming heartache.
The lattice heart is bubbling up with sweet love, adorned with tiny Maja butterflies and a combination of Wild Orchid Crafts and You Do flowers. The heart is from the Silhouette Online Store, while the center is Cheery Lynn's Small French Lattice die. Nestled within the arrangement are clay hearts, which are embossed with Shabby White frantage for touches of gold. The layered lace flower is centered with a Button Etoile, perhaps my all-time favorite button.
The large layered Memory Box butterflies (Isabella) are cut with pretty Pion papers, upon which I used the darker heart paper for its shadows because they are guided by and delivering love. For sappy crafters like myself, this collection makes the heart flutter. The 'love' sentiment is from La-La Land Crafts Hanging Hearts and Love set. The border around my design is Cheery Lynn's Anastasia die.
Prize example for Deep Ocean (actual prize contents may vary):
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful day! ♥︎

Stunning gift bag. Fabulous die cuts and I love those teeny tiny butterflies! TFS
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunningly beautiful bag. I'm sure your friend will appreciate it as she sees the love that you put into this project. I love the pretty papers, the beautiful layers and all the other details you added. This is gorgeous and in true Karen style. I'm sorry that I haven't been by in the last couple of months. Between the holidays, not feeling well, my hobby room getting a "face lift" and the Grinch sending me a virus on my computer for Christmas, I wasn't able to visit my bloggie friends. I sure did miss it! But things are back to normal, so I will be by more often. Take care, my friend.
