Dots/Stripes at Deep Ocean Challenge!

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day. It's time for a fun new challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge and this time we're playing with Dots and/or Stripes!

This is for another teen cancer warrior to remind her she is loved beyond measure. In her critical state, she needs extra sprinkles and smiles. ♥︎
Just before beginning my card, I received a gift from a dear crafty friend. She sent me a box of craft goodies simply to bless me for no reason, so I dove in and put a bunch of them to use immediately. Indeed they are lovely, but I also wanted her to know how grateful I am. ♥︎

This cutie pie is Frappi Anya from The Greeting Farm, who is colored up with Copics and accented with StarDust Stickles. She is sparkling with healing love. I colored the landscape after watching a Kit and Clowder Sunset Background tutorial, although this is a mini version due to time and spacial constraints. I am whisking her away from the hospital into nature's beauty.
My flowers are a combination of I Am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts. Of course most of my supplies are available at Live & Love Crafts, including the beautiful trims and Maja Design papers. The sweet sentiment is from Penny Black's Sprinkles and Smiles, which prompted me to add a sprinkling of pink sequins. They will tickle the recipient's precious heart. I gently curved the stamp to make it fit a wavy banner die. The darling stick pin is hard to see in this picture, but not at all in person... it is a lovely iridescent flower with spring green beads, which was part of a prize I won from my bloggie pal Wends. ♥︎

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11
Hair: E02, E17, E09, E29
Clothing: R39, R81, R83, R85; YG61, YG63, YG67; B93, B95, B97

Believe

Hello, dear friends! I hope your week has been lovely. I'm sharing this sweet little card on the Live & Love Crafts blog today.

Crafty time was scarce this week, but I was able to have a little play with Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics. Although there wasn't sufficient time for treasured detailing, it is ever-blossoming with love.  I paired two of my favorite sheets from the collection and topped them with nature's beauty. ♥︎
This is for the mother of a 5-year-old cancer warrior. Upon finding myself discouraged that I couldn't do all I was inspired to create, I was quickly reminded of what's most important. Is this ultra floofy and overflowing in treasures? No... but the heartbroken mother will feel my heart that is poured into it. ♥︎
My colorful Wild Orchid Crafts bouquet is nestled upon a doily for softness, blossoming forth from the sparkliest of love. Sunflower Pearl Trim lines the bottom, puffy wisps of pure white clouds shielding her from the storms of grief. The Pure Love ribbon is from DL.Art. The Graciellie Design sentiment is from the Dream digital stamp set, whispering words of hope into her heart. ♥︎
The smidgen of gold detailing on top holds much meaning. She will instantly recognize it. Fluttering along the top is a Prima mulberry butterfly, which I've lightly edged with gold microbeads. A Melissa Frances Resin Appliqué adorns the opposite corner, where microbeads are nestled within its intricacy.

Gold is the awareness color for childhood cancer and it means everything to all of these families with whom I am involved... and everyone living this nightmare. This mother's little boy received devastating scan results this week, just when we hoped a corner had been turned. We are clinging to faith for miracles. These microbeads are golden for her sweet boy and are tiny sunbeams dispelling heavenly radiance into the intricate parts of her shattered heart.
The interior is decorated with a sheet from Vintage Spring Basics, which carries fluttering blossoms inside. My card base was made with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and my sentiment was cut out with Spellbinders Nested Lacy Pennants. I pray she likes it.

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful weekend. ♥︎

Sprinkled with Love

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm posting on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, where I am sharing this encouragement card featuring Pion Design's Easter Greetings. I will always love these papers to sparkly bits.
To help a teen cancer warrior through stormy tribulation, I am showering her with sprinkles of love. ♥︎ (And pearls!) I paired several of the purple Easter Greetings papers with a green from Maja's Enjoying Outdoors and a combination of pink and white flowers. So many colors pair beautifully with this collection.
I colored white Shabby Chiffon Ruffle Trim with Milled Lavender distress ink, lined it with Sunflower Pearl Trim, and layered it atop whimsical Marguerite lace. For this particular card, I like to think of it as hope blossoming from within ruffly clouds. Rainbows can emerge from even the darkest of days. ♥︎ Sweet butterflies flutter along the cascading seam binding for extra sweetness. A clay heart is nestled within the floral arrangement, which is embossed with Shabby Pink Frantage.
My sentiment scrolls across one of my very favorite LLC goodies: lace heart appliqué. It always fills my heart with warm fuzzies. Due to a time crunch, I'll simply list the dies used below:

*Card Base: Go Kreate Large Frame Frilly 7
 *Umbrella: Magnolia Lovely Umbrella
 *Umbrella Base: Spellbinders Floral Ovals
 *Sentiment: Spellbinders Nested Lacy Pennants
 *Foliage: Magnolia Heart Swirl
*Top Border: La-La Land Crafts Open Heart Doily

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful weekend. ♥︎
