A Leap of Faith

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I'm posting a giant leap of faith on the Live & Love Crafts blog today. Sandy challenged us to take a leap this week and I went all in. ♥︎

I have long admired beautifully shabby scrapbook layouts... the ones bursting with so much texture that 'closing' the album simply means tying pretty ribbons to keep it from falling open. :o) This is my (very humble) attempt at such a layout using Pion's gorgeous Easter Greetings collection.
This was the hardest thing I've ever made! I don't know how scrapbookers do it... but I had a lovely time dabbling into that beautiful world. The sheer volume of space was intimidating and I would need another week to fill it up more. ;)
With so many pastels in this collection, any and all embellishments/flowers seem to work. I chose to stay with white, which paired nicely with precious Violet's crown. :o) Isn't she darling? She is inspires me daily from afar with her heart of gold and unwavering faith. This layout will be part of a gift for her mother. (The pretty photo is courtesy of Britny Sirotak Photography.) Violet is a courageous cancer survivor and is driven to bless the lives of children who endure all that she went through. She is all things beautiful and magical. ♥︎ Her photo is nestled within Cheery Lynn's Sophia's Heart die.
Love is ever-blossoming, bursting forth through all tribulation. A Pion butterfly leads a pretty trail of mini hearts, one of the sweetest trims imaginable. A metal rose serves as the 'pull' for a journaling tag, which is covered in Shabby White Frantage.
The lovely sentiment is from Graciellie Design's Dream stamp set, one of Gracie's new releases this week. It is cut with a Spellbinders Labels Four and layered atop a Gold Labels Four die. Resin Prima Swirls also are sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage...
... and of course frolicking with pearls. ♥︎ Atop each doilie on the layout is a die from Sue Wilson's Italian Collection Decorative Frames. I wanted soft accents with whimsical butterflies hovering about. Love is a La-La Land Crafts die.♥︎

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Signs of Spring at Live & Love Crafts!

**This is my second post of the day. For the Graciellie Design Stamp Release blog hop, please click HERE**

Hello, sparkly friends! I'm back for our new challenge at Live & Love Crafts. This month we're shaking off the snow and looking forward to Signs of Spring! One of my favorite aspects of the season is the sweet activity at birdhouses. I used Pion Design's gorgeous Easter Greetings collection. ♥︎
This birdhouse is blossoming with all things lovely for Anna, a sweet 19-year-old who lost her eyesight while battling brain cancer. As I mentioned with my previous post today, I want to spoil her with textural abundance: layers, trims, and flowers for her hands to explore since she cannot see. I pray for her restoration... but until her miracles abound I hope every touch of this card is a tangible sunbeam of love straight into her heart.

For the birdie hole I used a resin Prima Victorian Frame and backed it with one of the Easter Greetings images. A resident of this house is off to deliver a sweet blessing to Anna. ♥︎
This Cherry Blossom design is probably my favorite paper. It is embellished with everything beautiful, including a pretty Crown Sphere Pin. The tiny birdies nestled within the sisal are fussy-cut from Glistening Season.
Don't you wish real houses could be trimmed with Valentine Lace, while bubbling up and over with pearly love? The top of my birdhouse is adorned with a triple bow of seam binding and centered with a Button Belvoire... ribbons of sunshine and tiny rhinestone sunbeams, of course.
I hope Anna loves it. ♥︎

Be sure to flutter on over to check out the inspiration my teamies have for you and I hope you'll play along with us! Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful day. ♥︎

Graciellie Design Stamp Release Blog Hop and Giveaway!

** This is my first of two posts today. Please click HERE for the Live & Love Crafts March challenge. **

Hello, sweet friends! Are you ready to kick off a new month of crafty fun? ♥︎
I am honored to be part of a blog hop featuring the newest release from Graciellie Design's Digital Stamps. Gracie's stamps are not only versatile, but they're also as beautiful as her heart! Today I am sharing a card with you using one of the new sets called Butterflies.
The sentiments are perfect for encouragement projects and the butterflies are gorgeous as-is or colored up to match a color palette.
I colored the butterflies with Copics (BG10-BG72-BG78) to coordinate with the LemonCraft papers, layering the large one. I adore Gracie's stamps because they so often portray exactly what my heart wants to say in my charitable cards. This sentiment is perfect for a lovely 19-year-old named Anna, a cancer warrior who is now blind due to her brain tumor. Her world has darkened with change and Hope must be her light.
Although I always love incorporating texture, it was especially important here. Because Anna cannot physically see this, I wanted her hands to have ruffling trims and large blossoms to explore. My heart believes she *will* see this one day; that her sight will be restored, along with everything else cancer has stolen. Until then, she will feel the love fluttering in it.
An extra bit of texture for Anna is a metal filigree corner, which is heat-embossed with Shabby White Frantage. The laces and most of the flowers are from Live & Love Crafts. The Cappuccino crinkle ribbon is from DL.Art.
