Trick or Treat at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, dear friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot, with the fun theme of Trick or Treat!

For my project, I made a glassine treat bag that will hold freshly baked cookies. :o)
My sweetheart and I do not engage in Halloween, so instead we celebrate Autumn's beauty and harvest blessings. I will be baking him cookies and sharing some in this happy harvest bag. :o) I embossed the glassine bag for a pretty background using the Provo Craft Victoria folder.
The sweet sentiment is from Banner Sentiments- Fall, which I cut out with a Spellbinders Lacey Pennants and inked with Spiced Marmalade distress ink. My leafy swag was made with the gorgeous Fall Border metal die set, using old Bo Bunny papers. (I'm using every centimeter!) The pinecone accents are fussy-cut from a DP from my stash.

My swag hangs from a bow of Harvest Wine crinkle ribbon and a Wild Orchid Crafts rose. For rustic texture, I layered it atop burlap.
The pumpkins for my pumpkin patch are from the Fall Wheelbarrow metal die set, which I simply adore. The curlicues are just so sweet! The paper is from Heartfelt Creations' Sun Kissed collection, chosen to coordinate with the embossed background and swirly-papered leaves. They're inked in Spiced Marmalade.

Be sure to check out my fabulous DT sisters' creations for more inspiration! I hope you play along with us this week... I can't wait to see what you create! :o) Thank you for visiting and have a beautiful day!

Christmas in the Heart

Hello, sweet friends! I'm posting again today on the My Craft Spot blog, bringing some seasonal joy! Christmas is my favorite everything and I couldn't wait a moment longer to indulge in festive elegance. :o)

I made a card and tag set for a very special friend and had such a fun time filling it with lots of sappy love. :o)
This started with Kimberly's gorgeous Christmas sentiment from the Joy to the World stamp set.
It's such a beautiful greeting. The snowflake flourish above it is from Ornate Labels- Christmas. I framed it in 'snowy' Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and sparkly jingly bells. My bouquet consists of Pink Mist and white roses, hip rosebuds, and cosmo daisies. I always love using their gorgeous blooms! I sprinkled them with Polar White Flower Soft for a fluffy touch of snow. Both pearl trims are also from WOC.
I also used several Cheery Lynn Designs products. The pretty base frames are the Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames, my snowflakes are from their snowflake set, and the snowy vines in my bouquet are Mini Fanciful Flourishes. Memory Box dies create my peaceful scene along the bottom: Frosted Spruce Tree (accented with Flower Soft) and part of the Deer Trio, frolicking along a pearly trail of snow.
The coordinating gift tag base is a Marianne Design die, which I decorated with several of Kimberly's goodies! I truly love the Clock Time stamp set, so I used it for my focal point to declare it officially Christmas Day. My clock is atop a Tiny Doilies 2 metal die base, which reminds me of a snowflake. More WOC flowers and Cheery Lynn snowflake/flourish dies surround it.
Merry Christmas is from Joy to the World and the sweet holly corners are from Ornate Labels- Christmas. They are colored with Copics and sprinkled with Glamour Dust. (Glamour Dust also covers every snowflake because I cannot stop using it.) I made the large layered snowflake on top of the tag with two dies from the Flowers- Daisy set, which rests atop Petal Pink and Vanilla Bean crinkle ribbon. Each of the three layers are popped up with foam tape for dimension.

My papers are from Pion Design's Silent Night, which are so lovely in person. I hope it fills my friend's heart with heavenly joy. :o)
Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a blessed day! :o)

Harvest Wreath Card

Happy October, sweet friends! (Anyone know how it's October already?) I hope you're having a wonderful week! Today I'm sharing this Autumn-inspired card on the My Craft Spot blog! :o)

Fall foliage is one of the blessings of the season and I thought it would be fun to create a harvest wreath card with Kimberly's fabulous metal dies. :o) The start of a new month means a new recipient for the treasured I Feel the Love Project, where we deliver love and hope to those in need of extra sunshine.

This month we are making Thanksgiving cards for Atascadero Christian Home, spreading holiday love to the sweet elderly residents in the retirement community. Seniors need to know they're never forgotten. :o)
The beautiful leaves are from the Fall Border metal die set, one of my favorites of the recent release. I only glued down the bottom of the leaves so the rest could curl up a bit. The precious acorns are also from the Fall Border set, to which I added a touch of golden sparkle.
Sporadically tucked around the wreath are apples from the Fall Wheelbarrow set, which I covered in Glamour Dust. Sugared fruit is so pretty in wreaths. :o) The sweet sentiment is from Banner Sentiments- Fall, which I cut out with the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I finished off my wreath with a flowing bow of Candied Orange crinkle ribbon, centered with a gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts rose.

The heart card base is the Heart Border cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. I thought it paired nicely with the heartfelt sentiment. :o) Bo Bunny papers were used for the leaves.

Thank you for fluttering on by and have a blessed day! :o)

Sweet Shaker Card :)

Hello, my sparkly friends! I hope you're having a happy week! Today I'm sharing a sweet shaker card on the My Craft Spot blog. :o)

This is my final contribution for my box of love for Lily, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project who is battling leukemia. As I was contemplating what to do next for her, several colors of Kimberly's sequins were staring me down! I had no choice but to make a shaker for her sweet little hands to play with. :o)
This card began with sequins in sprightly shades of Caribbean, Perfectly Purple, and Tickled Pink...
...and I want Lily to find joy amidst her dark and cloudy days. So I tucked them within a puffy cloud. :o) The clouds are embossed with the D'vine Swirls folder for texture and lightly inked in Broken China distress ink.

Along with loving purple, she loves Disney. The darling Disney sweetheart is a cut file from Treasure Box Designs (We're All Ears). Her sweet expression is my favorite from the Peachy Keen In The Garden collection. I dressed her in Lily's favorite color and used Black Licorice Traditional twine for the shoelaces and Mickey balloon string.
Sometimes the simplest sentiments say it all, don't they? :o) Believe is from the Ornate Labels- Christmas stamp set. I used the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal die set as its base for an extra touch of whimsy and height. The little flowers in the grass were made with the Flowers- Daisy metal die set.

The bright papers (and fussy-cut bunnies) are from Doodlebug's Springtime collection, while the polka dot and starry purples are from Kaisercraft's Magic Happens. Inside, happy little birdies await Lily:

What a joy it has been to create for this angel:

Blast from the Past at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, sparkly friends! I hope your week is off to a lovely start! :o)

Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot! My teamie Kate had an amazing idea to have a challenge showcasing a favorite project we made in the past using My Craft Spot products! How fun is that?! I've seen so many of you make fabulous projects with Kimberly's goodies, so I hope you play along. I'm excited to see what you link up!

There was zero internal debate about my choice for this challenge. My Christmas Shadow Box Book Card from last year remains my favorite. What made this project extra special is that it was for my Guest Designer day at My Craft Spot and also was a gift to my sweetest friend. I'm happy to say she loved it as much as I do. :o)
Because this is picture heavy, I'll keep my non-MCS babble to a minimum and refer you to my original post for all of the details. The cover and spine feature stamps from the Ornate Labels- Christmas set. The white snowflake flourish on the spine was heat-embossed for texture.
My front sentiment is also from that gorgeous set, which was cut out with the coordinating Ornate Labels metal dies.
The frame was heat-embossed in gold and I paired the greeting with one of the other lovely flourishes. It's such a pretty set! I couldn't resist adding a few beautiful Wild Orchid Crafts roses.
Inside, a heavenly dance of joy for the blessed season. I used a delightful combination of goodies from My Craft Spot, Marianne Design, and Cheery Lynn Designs to create the interior.
The divine sentiment is from Kimberly's Joy to the World set. That stamp set is one of my favorites, as it so beautifully captures and celebrates the true meaning of Christmas.
My pretty ballerina, adorned in festive sparkles and a snowy tutu of hope.
The finished back, where I used one of my Marianne Design dies as book hinges:
Pirouette on over to My Craft Spot to see what some of my teamies chose as their favorites! We love seeing your creations, so choose your favorite MCS card/project and play along with us this week. :o) Have a blessed day!

Bear Hugs :)

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! I hope you're having a beautiful weekend! I'm fluttering in to post on the My Craft Spot blog today. :o)

This is my latest contribution for sweet Lily, this month's recipient of the I Feel the Love Project. While she battles leukemia, I want her to know how deeply she is loved. Purple is her favorite color, so I used some of my favorite purple goodies throughout.
Most of my projects are for charitable purposes and I can always count on Kimberly to have the perfect sentiments, regardless of the recipient's age or difficult circumstance. I wanted to send Lily some teddy bear hugs, courtesy of this sweet Posy Trio stamp from Lili of the Valley (colored with Copics).
The precious sentiment is from Tiny Tags 3, which is cut out with the coordinating Tiny Tags metal dies. I love the bear(y) greetings on that set! :o) I tucked it beneath Buttercup crinkle ribbon, chosen to reflect ruffles of sunshiny love. The gorgeous roses throughout are from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I've trimmed with Star Dust.

The scalloped bases for the teddy bear stamps are from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die set. I used the new Fancy Edges- Halloween metal die set to add the stitched design to the top of the middle panel. The beautiful borders were made with the floral die in the Fancy Edges 2 set. I love how it looks lacy. :o)
The butterfly is a Memory Box Isabella die, which is cut out with glittery purple cardstock and covered in Glamour Dust. She's sparkling with so much hope for Lily! My papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Bluebell collection.
Such a strong little girl... I hope these little bears bring a smile to her heart. :o)
Thank you for fluttering on by and have a blessed weekend! :o)
