Guest Designer at Frilly and Funkie!

Hello, sweet friends! I am honored to be guest designing today at Frilly and Funkie! ♥︎ This is such a treat. I admire their artists, who richly inspire with every post. If you don't yet follow them, I strongly encourage you to do so. Thank you for having me, ladies!

Kathy's theme of "By the Sea!" inspired a frilly wall hanging. I made this for a teen cancer warrior whose special place is the great expanse of the sea. Sadly she has been left blind from brain cancer, but we know the magic of the ocean... it need not be seen to be felt. ♥︎
This gift is intended to whisk her away to nature's beauty, where wishes are whispered into the sea. Rough, yet beautiful, waters release into the whimsical sky... where everything has turned rosy with healing love. ♥︎
The waves are stenciled with colored Crackle Paste, making them Salt Water Taffy pink as they carry a special wish. ♥︎ It is a small part of the Memory Box Flourish stencil, while the turbulent waters are created with Joy! Crafts Lattice Edge die. White sandy beaches inspired my choice of pure white Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, which are dusted with sparkling sunbeams. Seashells and pearls are nestled within... sweet gifts from the sea.
Wycinanka chipboard pieces are covered in Shabby White Frantage for touches of sunny gold. The foliage part of the Louvre frame is instead painted with Crackle Paste, this time colored with Sea Grass Green. For coloring my crackle paste, I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in Nantucket Pearls (I am so in love.). A wispy ocean breeze engulfs my little scene, created with two types of ruffly trims. Butterflies and pearls accent it for extra sweetness.

Texture reigns so she will have much to explore as she sees this gift through her touch. I pray she loves it. ♥︎ Most of my project was created with goodies from Live & Love Crafts.

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a sparkly day. :o)

Me and You

Hello, dear friends! I'm here with a quick post after a busy week and will catch up with you this weekend. I am on the Live & Love Crafts blog today, sharing a lovey-dovey celebration of a sweet marriage. My card features gorgeous papers from Maja's Vintage Summer Basics and Vintage Romance.

This card is part of a box of love for a family enduring heartache. I have previously mentioned how I like to celebrate the unbreakable love of parents that inspiringly grow in love as their child battles terminal disease. So I tuck in a card for them to share, while the rest of the box is for the superhero kiddo.  ♥︎
With Sandy's extensive selection of Wycinanka chippies, there is always a perfect piece to either create a theme or accent it. I have combined two darling chippies for my focal point: Doves 2 frame and Summer Wedding border. ♥︎ The pretty Cappuccino crinkle ribbon is from my dear friend Diana of DL.Art and the foliage is Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes.
The frame is covered in crackle paint, while the fluttery border sparkles in Shabby Pink Frantage. On the left I layered both beautiful shades of Amabelle lace, as I couldn't resist a pop of sweet pink. The sentiment (from Vintage Romance) is trimmed with Fayette lace for softness.
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a lovely weekend. ♥︎

Christmas in July at Deep Ocean Challenge!

Hello, sweet friends! It's time for a fun new challenge at Deep Ocean and we're getting festive! We are celebrating Christmas in July and I couldn't be happier. ♥︎

I used this opportunity to begin my cards for teens and children spending the holidays battling monster diseases. Some families celebrate the moment it becomes apparent their child will not be here come December (barring a miracle at the midnight hour). Often the kids want one more Christmas celebration, so I need to make them early to be prepared for sudden delivery.
This card is for a teen cancer warrior that I have come to deeply love. She is sweet and sparkly and I have created for her before. She is a little fashionista and loves all things beauty. She spent her birthday this year in a coma and although she awoke after a few weeks, she is obviously in a dire condition. Christmas may come early this year so I want her card ready.

She loves everything girly, frilly, sparkly, and happy... so this cutie pie stamp (A Girl Can't Have Too Many) from All Dressed Up was perfect for her! I gave her a festive twist to make her Santa's helper and surrounded her in snowflake flourishes glistening in love. I was going to fix her hair which I messed up quite severely while experimenting with a new Copic color combination, but I opted against it. The recipient will love her as is.
I used papers from Pion Design's Christmas in Norway, largely due to those precious heart snowflakes. ♥︎ They and most of the trims and embellishments are from Live & Love Crafts. The Red Hot Love crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Diana at DL.Art, which is topped with sparkly jingly bells. My stamp is cut out and layered with the LDRS Creative Gilded Oval. Magnolia Fern and Snowflake dies are tucked in throughout.

My sentiment and snowflake stamps are from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful day. ♥︎

Sprinkles of Summer at Live & Love Crafts

Happy July, sweet friends! It's time for a fun new challenge at Live & Love Crafts! This month's theme is Sprinkles of Summer. We want to see projects inspired by sweet bits of summertime. ♥︎

My card features Maja Design's Coffee in the Arbour and a gorgeous Wycinanka chippie, which will soon be fluttering to remind someone they are treasured. ♥︎
I have used nearly every sheet of this entire 6x6 pad. ♥︎ I especially love its florals and plaids. These darling daisies dancing in the breeze are summertime to me. The gorgeous Wycinanka chippie is from the Louvre Borders set. Glamour Dust covers the whimsical butterfly, while Wild Orchid Crafts flower clusters adorn the vine. My sentiment is from Whimsical Designs (no longer in business).
Pink Pearl Garland winds through the daisy/magnolia cluster, as I couldn't resist a pop of sweet pink love. ♥︎ The pretty bow beneath is Pure Love crinkle ribbon from my friend Diana of DL.Art. Shabbylicious Ruffle Lace cascades down the side, centered with Double Row Pearl Trim. A Marianne Design Lattice Edge trims the bottom, which is accented with pearls.
Peeking out from the rolled corner is sunshine and Pearl Heart love. ♥︎ Be sure to hop on over to LLC for inspiration from my sweet teamies! Thank you for visiting me and I wish you a sparkly weekend. :o)
